Hello! How are you? It has been a while! I have been recovering from a fever since a few days ago and, sadly, every time I get sick week have wasted no energy being productive which is not good for me LOL. I am two weeks away from blogging.
So to make up for that I drew a fan art of Forest Healer, last time I always drew my fanart short hair, but now for a change, I drew her with long hair. I thought I had forgotten how to draw again but thank god I have not LOL.
The Process:
For the line art, I used a marker details brush since this year which maybe I will stick to it until I am sick of it and change again hehe. It took me 4 layers until I was satisfied with the lineart.
Next, I lowered the opacity of the lineart and added the base color of each part the brush I used was shape shape-fill brush. Because my hand is kind of shaky I adjust the stabilization of the brush to make adding the base color more cleaner. One of my favorites is to add texture to the canvas what I do is to add a fill layer and then I choose the pattern default paper and then I set the blending mode to soft light and I adjust the opacity to 30% and wahlaaa!
Next, I render the face, hair, and clothes with base shadow shades and highlights. Starting the rendering layer by layer helps me a lot so I always do it whenever I layer.
Then, I added more layers of rendering each part again and the next step was to fill the background with darker colors this is just temporary. Now that she is getting to look good just go with the flow.
I decided to add dark blue as her background, I kind of sucked at rendering hair before and I kinda getting better but not the best hehe. To make it not look flat I added strands of hair using the pencil brush and rake bristle dry which made a lot of difference.
To make the clothes more interesting I added a glowing dangle on her clothes. Then I added a logo of Forest Healer. Now that she is getting more detail I lower the opacity to 20%.
For the final render, I added detail to her hair I added more strands and then I added highlights too, and then I added reflection of the light background design on her hair to make It look more realistic. I added light with a different color as the background. For the final decision, I added a vine-like gold crown to make it more interesting, and then I added a dark blue gradient. And that is the final thing so that I cannot overdress her, hehe.
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
