Holozing Fan Art | Fire Dragon (Emberion) in female version 🔥

Very good afternoon my dear readers, happy Thursday and I hope you are having a great week, I'm Manuel and as always it is a great pleasure for me to have you a new opportunity here on my art blog. Today I come to share with you an illustration inspired by one of the dragon creatures of the #holozing game, which many of you surely already know, and this time I wanted to represent the Fire Dragon (Emberion) in its initial form; I decided to choose this creature basically because I love this element and all the colorful that surrounds it, the red, orange and other tones which I almost always like to place in my works. In this case I focused on giving the Dragon character a hybrid appearance between creature and human full feminine and my style of illustration, but keeping of course mostly dragon features for the character to keep its original essence and be recognizable:

Muy buenas tardes mis queridos lectores y lectoras, feliz jueves y espero que estén teniendo una grandiosa semana, yo soy Manuel y como siempre es un gran fusto para mi tenerlos una nueva oportunidad por aquí por mi blog de arte. En el día de hoy les vengo a compartir una ilustración inspirada en una de las criaturas de tipo dragón del juego de #holozing, el cual muchos de ustedes seguro ya conocerán, y en esta ocasión quise representar al Dragon de tipo fuego (Emberion) en su forma inicial; me animé a elegir a esta criatura básicamente porque me encanta mucho este elemento y todo el colorido que lo rodea, los tonos rojos, naranja y demás los cuales casi siempre me gusta colocar en mis obras. En este caso me enfoque en darle al personaje del Dragon de una apariencia hibrida entre criatura y humano full femenina y a mi estilo de ilustración, pero manteniendo por supuesto en su mayoría rasgos de dragón para que el personaje mantuviese su esencia original y fuese reconocible:

PROCESS / PROCESO

For the sketch process I took my graphite brush and drew the girl (Emberion) with long ears that represented the horns of the creature, also some big and sharp claws and of course the characteristic small dragon wings on her forearms. Once I had captured my idea in stroke I could go to my color palette to choose the red tones with which I would begin to work, in this case I used intermediate reds and not so saturated to build the skin of the character, the shadows, lights and others; then with blue tones I took care to give shape to the eyes with quite big size to give more tenderness and not to look like a dangerous creature; I also took some gray tones and created 2 small and sharp fangs coming out of her upper lip, just like a dragon.

Para el proceso del boceto tome mi pincel de grafito y dibuje a la chica (Emberion) con largas orejas que representaran los cuernos de la criatura, también unas grandes y afiladas garras y por supuesto las características pequeñas alas de dragón en sus antebrazos. Ya una vez había plasmado mi idea en trazo ya pude irme a mi paleta de colores para elegir los tonos rojos con los que empezaría a trabajar, en este caso use rojos intermedios y no tan saturados para construir la piel del personaje, las sombras, luces y demás; después con tonos azules me ocupe de darle forma a los ojos con tamaño bastante grande para darle mayor ternura y que no se viese como una criatura peligrosa; también tome algunos tonos grises y cree 2 pequeños y afilados colmillos saliendo de su labio superior, tal cual como un dragón

In the 2nd part of the painting process I took care of the small dragon wings on her forearms, with a red similar to the skin I created a small transition from the arms with small spikes, then with a Salmon color I created a new layer at 60% opacity to give the wings a thin skin look. Then I used some yellow tones to create a dress for the character since obviously I couldn't leave her naked hehehehehehehee, I took my watercolor brush and created a strapless dress and worked the yellow tones upwards until I got a noisy and slightly scaly texture like a dragon. For the hair I also used yellow tones, here I let my inspiration guide me since the creature originally had no hair, I used the watercolor and the airbrush to form a slightly wavy hair and let some strands fall on the sides of his ears.

En la 2da parte del proceso de pintado me ocupe de las pequeñas alas de dragón en sus antebrazos, con un rojo similar al de la piel cree una pequeña transición desde los brazos con pequeños picos, luego con un color Salmon cree una nueva capa a 60% de opacidad para darle a las alas una apariencia de piel delgada. Después use algunos tonos amarillos para crearle un vestido al personaje ya que obviamente no la podía dejar desnuda jejejejejee, tome mi pincel de acuarela y cree un vestido de tirantes y trabaje los tonos amarillos de forma ascendente hasta lograr una textura ruidosa y levemente escamosa como la de un dragón. Para el pelo use también tonos amarillos, aquí si deje que mi inspiración me guiara puesto que la criatura originalmente no tenia cabello, use la acuarela y el aerógrafo para formar un cabello levemente ondulado dejado algunos mechones caer a los lados de sus orejas.

I wanted to complement the character with her main element which in this case is fire by adding a small flame or flare right on her finger, first I took some orange and yellow tones to form the flame from the inside while slightly erasing the edges and giving it that thin and irregular shape, then I blurred it all slightly with the swab brush before taking the airbrush to create a small heat effect around the fire. For the background I took grey tones to create some rocks on which the character would be sitting, my idea here was to give the idea that the Dragon girl is right on top of a big and high mountain; once I finished with the texture of the rocks I moved a little further back on my canvas and started to build the sky and with light blue and a tone close to white I formed several clouds floating around the mountain.

Quise complementar un poco al personaje con su elemente principal que en este caso es el fuego agregando una pequeña flama o llamarada justo en su dedo, primero tome algunos tonos naranjas y amarillos para ir formando la flama desde adentro mientras levemente borraba los bordes y le daba esa forma delgada e irregular, luego la difumine todo levemente con el pincel hisopo antes de tomar el aerógrafo para cree un pequeño efecto de calor alrededor del fuego. Para el fondo tome tonos grises para crear algunas rocas sobre las cuales el personaje estaría sentada, mi idea aquí era dar la idea que la chica Dragon esta justo en la cima de una gran y alta montaña; una vez termine con la textura de las rocas me pase un poco más atrás en mi lienzo y comencé a construir el cielo y con azul claro y un tono cercano al blanco forme varias nubes flotando alrededor de la montaña.
