Glimmo Kawaii! 💢

After several days of absence, I'm back with a new illustration. This time I've made a kawaii version of the character Glimmo, making him as adorable and simple as possible, but keeping the essence of the original character. I really enjoyed the process and it turned out to be very relaxing for me, I hope you enjoy this version and without further ado I leave you with my process!

Luego de varios días de ausencia, he vuelto con una nueva ilustración. En esta ocasión he realizado una versión kawaii del personaje Glimmo, volviéndolo lo mas adorable y simple posible, pero manteniendo la esencia del personaje original. Realmente disfruté mucho del proceso y resultó ser muy relajante para mí, ¡espero que disfruten esta versión y sin mas los dejo con mi proceso!

Sketch and Lineart:
I started making some ideas in thumbnail format, I chose the one I liked the most and I developed it until I gave shape to the character. Then I cleaned the lines with a large brush.
Comencé haciendo algunas ideas en formato thumbnail, elegí la que mas me gusto y fui desarrollándola hasta dar forma al personaje. Luego limpie las líneas con un pincel de tamaño grande.
Base Colors:
Fill the character with gray and assemble a color palette. In several layers I started to apply the bases on the character, adjusting the tones if necessary.
Rellene al personaje de gris y arme una paleta de color. En varias capas comencé a aplicar las bases en el personaje, ajustando los tonos de ser necesario.
Shadow application and final details:
Then I started to apply the shadows in Cell Shading style using a dark Violet color and with a lighter tone I placed some highlights to make contrast in the character. I changed the background to white and added a violet rectangle to introduce Glimmo.
Luego comencé a aplicar las sombras en estilo Cell Shading usando un color Violeta oscuro y con un tono mas claro fui colocando algunas iluminaciones para hacer contraste en el personaje. Cambie el fondo a color blanco y agregue un rectángulo violeta para presentar a Glimmo.

To finish add some details with effect brushes to the rectangle, also change the color of the lineart and work on the eyes of the character.
Para finalizar agregue algunos detalles con pinceles de efecto al rectángulo, también cambie el color del lineart y trabaje en los ojos del personaje.
