Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you the creative process behind my latest fanart piece: the Holozing Water Healer. This character has always fascinated me, and I wanted to capture the essence of him in a digital illustration using Sketchbook.
Step 1: Initial Sketch
I started with a light sketch to define the pose and overall composition. I wanted the healer to have a posture that conveyed serenity and power.
Step 2: Final Lines
Once satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to cleaning up the lines and defining the character's details, such as his dark, messy hair and dark blue jacket with light blue details.
Step 3: Base Color
I chose a cool blue color palette to keep with the water theme. I applied the base colors, making sure the blue gems on his jacket stood out.
Step 4: Shading and Lighting
With shadows and lights, I gave depth and volume to the character. I paid special attention to how the light would interact with the design.
Step 5: Background and Final Details
For the background, I opted for a blue gradient that becomes lighter towards the top, evoking the feeling of being underwater. Finally, I added some sparkles and light effects to give that magical touch to the healer.
