Holozing Female forest healer fanart!

in Holozing Community10 months ago (edited)

Hello Zingers 😁!

I'm back again with a new art. This time I painted the beautiful Female Forest healer in my style. The idea of this art was to place the healer in her element which is nature along with some naughty Raccamons. I also wanted to challenge myself by rendering green hair which usually doesn't go well when I painted it haha. I made an OC with Chirply recently and the hair colouring was not the best but I believe I managed to make it much more beautiful and vibrant this time.

Forest Healer and Raccamons

The Process

1000013780.png

  • I made a rough sketch of the pose and then drew her clothes and other accessories on top of it.

1000013778.png

  • I added the first layer of the paint and decided to fill the Raccoon area once I was done with the healer

1000013779.png

  • As usual I painted the eyes first. Added green shadows and highlights inside the pupils. Also added white highlights on top them as well.

1000013781.png

  • Added the shadow colours on her skin according to the direction of light source which is from the right side. I used slightly low saturated dark red for it because her skin has red hue which is a decision I made after painting her green hair because green will look good with a bit of red around it. After adding the shades I blended them in one go. Less area to cover so it was done quickly. This is still not completed because it's important to use different intensity of shades while painting a character according to their body anatomy and the objects surrounding her so I painted the shadow layer in a different layer to make changes later.

  • Started rendering hair and the black top. Added highlights and shadows on her hair and her clothes.

1000013786.png

  • Added more light and dark strands on her hair for realism and flow. Alos began to add shades on her pants. I used low saturated green here because of the bounce light from the green environment around her.

1000013789.png

  • Painted a simple background to put in a blur state to show depth. Also painted the grass racoons and shaded them according to the source of light. Added some more highlights on her black top.

1000013790.png

  • Painted more vegetation around her and changed the background environment colour to match with the colour of the vegetation.

1000013788.png

  • Painted more yellow hair strands on the right side so show strong lighting. Adjusted the overall hair colour contrast to match the strong light. Added shades on her head accessory. Also painted her necklace and added blur to the vegetation around her for focus to the character. Adjusted the contrast in the Racoons and added highlights on their body as well.

1000013792.png

  • Made some minor changes on one of the Racoons. His eyes are closed now since he is being petted by the healer. Added particle effects with dip pen brush on the right side near her hair. Using airbrush I added stronger shades on the skin shadow layer which I rendered earlier. Added more darker hair strands on top of her head and made her top a bur more black. Using an add layer and an airbrush I painted the lighting bleeding into the shadow areas on her pants and her skin. After that I stared at the painting for a bit more and refined some areas.

Hey, I learned a lot from your works and applied it here. I love your tutorials. Thanks a lot for that man :)

You're welcome! I'm glad the tutorials were helpful. 😊

Are you self taught bro?

No bro,I attended a small art class where I learned techniques for using colored pencils, watercolors, and similar mediums. My practice primarily involved imitating pictures. Subsequently, I pursued further artistic education in college, engaging in more professional practices.

Ah I see. This was the field I wanted to pursue but life had other plans for me hahahaha.

Is the AI revolution affecting your work in any way?

Not currently, but I anticipate the AI revolution may impact my work in the future.😣

that's a masterpiece bro, you keep on improving each time!

Hey man! Thanks for the encouragement 😊🙏

I’ve seen like 3 forest goddesses this week on different posts. Still don’t if it’s a challenge but one thing is constant they are all beautiful

Is that right haha? Let's change that est week then. The previous week was full of light healer. Lots of pretty impressive works if you ask me.

Thanks bro 😁
