Hello guys!
I hope you guys are having a great day. It's getting quite hot here so making art under this scorching heat is getting more and more hard and on top of that we have power cut too. I think I made a great decision of buying a tab considering all the things I mentioned above. Sometimes I feel like I should just skip town and move to a village area. More tress and plants there so more cooling as well. This thought inspired me to draw the current artwork. The idea was to make a healer chilling in the nature with Miu but Miu is not very happy though, He probably doesn't like to be pet from that expression haha. I thought about changing the official expression but without it I felt like the painting is incomplete. It's part of its personality so I decided to keep it as it is. Anyway, this is how it came out.I hope you guys like it:)
When Light healer meets Miu
The Process
- Started with a rough sketch as usual using a reference from Pinterest.
- Made a clean lineart using penfade brush.
- Painted the base colours but I decided to experiment with orange coat( which later was changed back to default colours because of the background)
- Started painting the skin according to the source of light and painted her eyes fully at this point.
- Started painting the first layer of shades on her coat and rendered her skin as well.
- Painted the second layer of shades on her clothes.
- Shades Miu according to the source of light.
- Started adding darker hair strands on her hair.
- Painted the golden areas of her suit, head accessory and some hair strands as well. Now it looks good with the orange coat. However the character colour pallete looks misplaced when it's placed in a green environment. So I had to change it later.
- Started working on the background.
- Decided to removes the blue sky and added trees and plants in the background and blurred it.
- Painted more plants and trees around her. Some were blurred a bit to show depth.
The Result
- Changed the colours back to default and also added a slight green tint on the golden parts because of the colour mixing caused by the ambient and bounce light around the character.

It is still hot here even though trees surround us. Perhaps it's just the season. It rained but it just drizzled. We are still lucky that we have not experienced a power cut. Yes, that tablet is an investment. Nice buying it, Sol!
The eyes and nails though! 🥰 Miu's expression is killing me haha. Give the kitty some treats. 😆

Yeah it only rained a bit here as well. Nothing significant to change the current temperature. The only thing it caused was powercut lol. It's common here to get power failures like that when it's monsoon season.
Yes the kitty is feisty xd just like my old cats haha.
