Hi I'm thisnewgirl and this is my personal challenge to draw 1 pixelart daily, we continue on day #9
Hemlo again! we are still on day 9 of making a daily pixelart and the animation of it, today's muse is forest healer a very beautiful character from the game Holozing, if you haven't seen it yet go check it out right now ! below I will attach an image of the reference character, so this in this post im doing a fanart !
i'm exhausted and i can only say one thing: a lot of pixels.
due to the nature of the character and how I like to do pixelart, I usually do very feminine and beautiful bodies, for her I wanted to incorporate the elements of gold and translucency in her clothes.... which was not easy.
sketch
I always make my guide lines with geometric figures that make sense because if not what's the point? it's not like you place three balls and you make a work of art from there lol.
besides the sketch
In addition to the character sketch in this case I made guide lines of where my horizon would be, from what angle the light would come from and what areas would be full of vegetation but ... this map only I understand it because I know what each line symbolizes, more than anything is for the future to have a slight guide on where exactly the background elements would be (which I thought would be easy).
lineart
After I have my guidelines, the sketch and everything else, I simply dedicate myself to make the lineart with more precise lines (and without noise) of exactly what I want. These lines allow my work to be more neat, to be understandable what I'm doing, and not only visually pleasing but at the time of applying color elements have coherence.
hair lines
clothes
when making the lines of the dress as I always use the clipping mask, I thought of making some thick lines and then decorate them with gold, as if they were small gold threads or seams on the dress... maybe more similar to a gold embroidery.
Flat color, skin
shadow and light for the skin.

working on the face
When working on the face I was applying colors that I had already used on the legs to try to keep a coherent color palette, the blush on the cheeks is nothing more than the same all over shading on the leg and the rest of the shadows on the eye lid are brown tones that I used as shading, this way I can give more dimension.
upper body done
general view !
hair coloring
working those lights and shadows
... I could tell you how many hours I spent on the hair but that wouldn't be very cool of me, more than I would really like to admit... let's see, I like to work with many colors, but when we talk about pixelart this becomes a problem ! stranger danger !
basically because I have to be careful with where I put a shadow or light square, the lines sometimes don't come out with the shapes we want and then we have to do the same line several times and ... you know what I mean....
coloring the clothes
oh what a headache this was... ok I honestly think that in the end I didn't achieve the effect I wanted, that of giving translucency to the dress... but well with the shading and certain lines it gives the sensation that the dress is a bit transparent.
gold details
im proud of that gold
coloring the lineart
when coloring lineart makes any illustration blend with the background (whatever) you are going to draw, but when it comes to pixelart I'm not sure if I like to do it or not >:c I feel that the nice thing about pixelart is those dark lines surrounding the character but I don't know.... it depends on how many bits ... because in this case I tried to do outline and I didn't like it so I left it like that

Damn that's awesome art.. You could totally start putting your pixel art creations together into a fantasy setting and make a video game with it or something...?!
Keep up the good work. Love the colours and detail
I nominate this for a vote from @ocd provided they feel the same that it's awesome. <3
thanks nwn I would love to be part of the development of a video game. might start looking for a project tho.
I consider incredible the talent you have to create these wonders and all with pixel art, and especially that animation of movement is great, good luck bro
Love your pixelated style, especially for the little animation you add to all your drawings, you have your style that makes it very attractive.
This is nice! I also animated my artwork.
