Hahaha, just when we think that we know most of the things, life will surprise us.
A lady complained the her room's door lock was faulty. So I went there thinking that I will quickly fix the lock. Then I discovered that the lock was faulty (sticky) because the door was not fitted properly.
So I went and fetched my other tools and I had to take the door off, refit the hinges and re-hang the door again. The lock then worked properly as the alignment was correct and the "quick" job took me most of the day 🤣
I told you before that we are the same Hannes. I was a national manager at a company and I still took my welding machine to show the guys how I wanted a job done 😘
The people in top positions over here promote their family members and friends into top positions, even if they are not qualified to do the work.
Best is to always depend only on the self and you have it totally correct.

Yeah, that's also my problem, because I don't only show how I want tht job to be done, I mostly do it myself because it goes faster and I don't have to correct it afterwards ... that's also a reason for the much work I have 😅

Oh yes she thanked me profusely and even offered to pay me. But a cup of coffee was enough for me.
Yes agreed, but I had no limits so I would overload myself with work to the extreme. So now in my later years I am paying the penalties with my health.

it's always in the later years that we pay for the "sins" we have made in our youth.
I got up at 3am but the rain has destroyed all my plans - I have had a nice trip through Italy and Slovenia though and I could take photos of the highest waterfall in Slovenia 😀
