Take a look at these clouds!

As I was entering our neighborhood, the sky is lit up orange like it has never before.

How magnificent it is!

Just AWESOME!!!

And as soon as I was out of the car, I took a panoramic shot I front of the house, so that you would believe me!

I am so lucky to have taken this series of photos is to document a phenomenon that seldom is experienced by me!

The sky takes on these vivid hues due to a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering! It explains the blue skies, and in this case, red skies as this happened during sunset.

The sky takes on these vivid hues due to a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering, sis! It explains the blue skies, and in this case, red skies as this happened during sunset.

Due to Rayleigh scattering, most of the light of shorter wavelengths – the blue, violet, and green – are scattered away multiple times, leaving only lights of longer wavelength – the red, orange, and yellow – to pass straight through to the observer. This is why a rising and setting Sun tends to take on spectacular hues of red, orange, and yellow.

Those really are magnificent shots. I find it is so difficult to capture deep reds. Maybe I should think about getting a real camera. Ha ha.

I took these photos using my iPhone!
The deep reds and blues were just there.
But the real thing was just awesome!!!
