You wouldn't believe how exciting this game can be. Once you get the idea of what the game is about and how you can maneuver in it, the adrenaline starts rushing in.
I have been seeing a lot of people talking about the game on Twitter. I logged in to the game a few months backs but I didn't know what to do so I left it alone. But the fierce promotion on Twitter got me going this time...and I am still pushing.
I am still figuring things out in the game. Like what am I supposed to do and how the different pages look when fully loaded and what does every page stand for. The easiest part was clicking on "Illegal Busking" and starting the first mission.
I won't lie, I used google for some help. I googled "Rising Star Game Hive" on google and came across this post by @m3ss. The post is incredibly insightful and there is another link in the post that can guide new players even further.
I wanted to explore the game as much as possible so I didn't let the post spoil everything for me. I took as much info as needed from the game just to know that I am on the right track and kept going from there.
People don't talk about this often, but this bottom part of the missions page is incredible. The diary is going to be your best friend when starting out. I kept clicking on other missions but I couldn't figure out why they didn't work until I read the diary. It actually tells you the reason why you can't start other missions.
Apart from that, it gives you real-time updates on your missions and the outcomes. Like how many starbits you got for the mission, how many fans you gained, luck, and even energy. I grinded a whole day just doing "Illegal Busking". I got a few Coffee Cups and Pizza Slices to keep me going.
AAAAAND, lets not forget about the radio! Does anyone get myspace kinda vibes? The game is about your musical career so it makes so much sense that there is music playing within the game! It really helped me out doing other things and listening to the music as my missions played through.
After that, I figured out how to buy packs in the game and cards from the marketplace. The thing is all the cards in the marketplace have already been discontinued. So your chances to get a card you like in the marketplace from the packs is 0.
I am planning on buying packs soon but I needed something small and quick to oil up my gears in the game. The best solution was to find a good card for an affordable price on the market.
At first, I was kinda disappointed that most cards were priced at above 7000 starbits. But then I got lucky and found a few cards priced at or under 2 HIVE. THIS IS A VERY GOOD PRICE for cards if you wanna just try the game.
My final choice was the R84 Shine card.

I am yet to find out the actual use of skill and luck but I am sure I'll figure it out as I advance in the game. And getting a rare card with such good stats for just 0.9 SWAP.HIVE was a steal!
I didn't have enough SWAP.HIVE on my engine wallet so I decided to sell some DEC and fund my rising star card. Hey, that's blockchain gaming economics right there.
Currently, my band looks like this. Nothing special. I only have a lead singer in place. As my career grows I am going to unlock and fill out the other spaces in my band. Along with that, I'll learn how they benefit my career.
Oh, I also did a special mission.
Play a mission and get some GG! Not bad! This is really cool. The game has found an interesting way to combine other engine projects and missions.
So this is my current setup. Still drinking Buskeria missions for as long as I can. Once I unlock more missions I'll get to see what the rising star world has waiting for me!

Its been out for quite some time. You play to earn starbits and more. You can also trade the cards. It is a growing game and a very fun one. Free to play by the way.
