Hello my dearest Hivers from around the globe!
Today I want to share with y'all a Play to Earn game that I've been playing for quite some time now: Rollercoin.
This post was initially released as a ListNerds mail, but for some reason, the "system" messed up the links, so I'm re-doing it as a post. Without further ado, LFG!
The Hamster's Games
This "game" features the must beautiful pet ever, and it is actually more like a bundle of games. Per se it is an "Idle" game, or we may also call it a simulator, in this particular case it is a Mining simulator.
So there you are, at the middle of your room, with only your old cheap degen Pc and a lot of dreams... sounds familiar?
…we start by playing games (we have 12 available games at the moment) that grant us temporary mining power, and then we set up our Mining Power and split it to mine one of the 7 available cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, BNB, MATIC, DOGE, SOL, TRX) or the two in-game currencies (RLT or the seasonal token RST.)
We can then play until we gather enough RLT to buy our own miners! (I strongly advice this approach at least at first: use your temporary mining power exclusively to mine RLT until you get your first 2.60 RLT and buy the cheap miner.)
Miners will give us permanent mining power which can be assigned to mine any other currency you want as well, and in any proportion (i.e. you can use 50% of your power to mine RLT, 25% to mine ETH, and the 25% left to mine BNB or MATIC. Right now I'm using my 357 Gh/s mining power to mine the seasonal token.)
You will also need to buy a rack to place your miners.
As you may see from the image above, I already have a few miners myself, and also I don't have the first degen Pc as it evolves every X won games (15, 30-something, etc) thus ensuring you keep your temporary Mining Power (earned from won games) for a longer period.
Now into the games!
The games are simple and fun enough to keep us on playing a bit for every single day. There are classics of gaming in a particular Rollercoin version (Galaga, Space Invaders, Tetris, Flappy Birds, a platforms Mario-ish with a skateboard) and a few new ones (the old Memory, and one inspired by Matrix film.)
It has many different options that you may want to explore by yourself: a miners marketplace, a miner's parts marketplace, a merge option to combine two miners to create a new one with enhanced Mining Power, a task wall that rewards in RLT, seasonal events, and much more!
It is a surprisingly old game (for this space) that's been around for more than 2 years now, and has over a million daily players!!
They have 4-stars in TrustPilot with a few complains regarding lost deposits (I've myself experienced this once!) but I know by my own experience that they tend to solve this in the best possible way, even giving additional rewards in RLT "as courtesy for the troubles caused" after the issue was solved - very nice.
