I would rank GU very high despite not having that much experience on other games, the reason is most games kind of suck to be fair a lot of time, and i like the ownership aspect of it. I think Splinterlands for example, despite not being for me, might have features like card loan that are ahead but overall GU experience improved.

I would also like to clear something, the forge did not really malfunction, the gas price was just eating up eth and it was paid by immutable so they closed it, the forge imo should already be working, seems sometimes GU team does not want the game to grow. Also i'm totally bias when GU is related, if you remember we had no sanctum or welcome cards so the card pool f2p vs early genesis holders was way more unbalanced and it took me a long time to climb both in xp and ranks.

I can say overtime with what i made from forge and bought in market i have a collection worth around 15k and i have some pretty good stash of cards to forge with some potential income also. If we add the token airdrop potential i think i could have bet on worst game for sure.

I am preparing an article to describe my experience since starting out from 0 to make it 1# XP with some numbers of total plain cards to forge, initial sales and re investments to paint a picture of what it took, i will make sure to share.

In conclusion i love gu a lot to be honest, i got in to collect nfts and i used to think "hell what geek game" but once i played i was in, it is a very polished game with some great art work on some cards worth a shoot to any TCG player.

your feedback is wonderful, you made me want to do a few games of Gods Unchained again. Let's keep in touch ... I'll read all your posts you make about Gods Unchained

For sure, anytime you need to hit me up just look me up on the Gu discord im sure you find me there or OCD same thing i will be welcome to exchange pointers with you any day!
