Buen día amigos de Tattoo World, estuve muy feliz de iniciar en la comunidad con su iniciativa del pasado mes, y es por eso que vengo a contarles algo de unos de mis tatuajes, algún día les contaré otras historias, el primero, el siguiente, cómo me enamoraron o qué estilo me gusta más, pero hoy vengo a contarles como el tatuador me frenó el carro cuando llegué a la cita pactada y le dije, estos quiero!
The place is in Villa Urquiza, I met him one day when I accompanied my friend to get a kitten tattoo in mosaic, and the place is fantastic, he is a great guy and very friendly. El lugar queda en Villa Urquiza, lo conocí un día que acompañé a mi amiga a tatuarse un gatito en mosaico, y el lugar es fantástico, él es un gran tipo y muy amable. Llevamos lemon pie casero y nos pasamos toda la tarde mientras él la tatuaba y yo le iba contando lo que quería. Debía esperar a fin de mes para tener el dinero del sueldo depositado, pero sin problema dijo que se pondría a dibujar. Coincidimos en la idea, como el lugar no era muy grande, el tamaño sería aproximadamente entre 11 cm y 15 cm cada uno. Se trataba de una idea que encerraba algo emocional en mi y era tener un ancla y un timón en mi cuerpo. Moviéndome, aprendiendo a frenar, y una frase que había visto por ahí, aunque algunos también la cambian un poco…

The question was the following: we arranged to have them done on a Monday night, since I was off on Tuesdays, it seemed like a good idea to rest a bit without being forced to put pressure on them. La cuestión fue la siguiente: arreglamos para hacerlos un lunes por la noche, ya que los martes yo tenía el día libre, me parecía buena idea descansar un poco sin estar obligada a hacer presión sobre ellos. Esto iba de la mano del sitio donde me los haría, ya que el empeine del pie no iba a ser nada divertido de estar tapado con zapatillas en horario laboral con la cicatriz en menos de 12 horas. Gran idea y pésima idea. Yo quería hacerme ambos ese mismo día, y el tatuador, con mucho amor me dijo “vemos a donde llegamos, ¿te parece?”

Ahí me senté yo, después de un día laboral, los pies hinchados y mucho talco jaja puso el primer dibujo, quedó genial, y empezó muy cuidadosamente. Yo ya tenía varios tatuajes, pero nunca imaginé que además del ardor característico, cierto dolor involuntario se apoderaría de mis pies. Fue entonces que Sergio me dijo “colocate así y vemos si se mueve menos”

We laughed a lot, it was a great afternoon, but I was still a little nervous because every so often my foot trembled a little and I had to stop his work, put Vaseline and follow the course with the ink and the machine. Until 90 minutes of pure needlework had passed and at one point the pain was quite noticeable. In a certain part of the foot, the one that is not so soft skin, but when it approaches the sole, that part that is rougher, that breathes less and therefore sweats more, and I felt how the machine got stuck. It made a noise as if something was going wrong. Evidently the skin is much thicker when you get to this place and I didn't know it. The pain increased noticeably.

Nos reímos mucho, fue una tarde genial, pero yo no dejaba de estar algo nerviosa porque cada cierto tiempo el pie me temblaba un poco y tenía que frenar su labor, colocar vaselina y seguir el rumbo con la tinta y la maquinita. Hasta que pasaron 90 minutos de pura aguja y en un momento el dolor era algo por demás notorio. En cierta parte del pie, la que no es piel tan suave, sino cuando se acerca a la planta, a esa parte que es más áspera, que respira menos y por eso suda más, y sentí como la maquina se trababa. Hacía ruido como si se tratara de algo fallando. Evidentemente la piel es mucho más gruesa cuando llegas a este sitio y no lo sabía. El dolor incrementó notablemente.

I told him “are you more awake today?” and his answer was hilarious “I saw that you can take it, so now at my pace” he confessed to me that once a girl went to get something delicate done there and ran away scared of the pain, and that he was surprised that I could without complaining, although we did not put color, we did many shadows and today, they are still some of the tattoos that I enjoy seeing the most. Besides, I will not suffer this again, I already have enough covered feet, I can choose another place to have drawings, right?

La cuestión es que, llegando a este punto, decidimos quitar todo lo que era a color, evidentemente no me lo iba a aguantar y había sido mucho tiempo ya, para un tatuaje tan pequeño. La semana siguiente volvería para completar el otro pie. Pero sin saberlo, la segunda vez, ya con algo de experiencia sobre el dolor que me esperaba, Sergio empezó a tatuarme a otra velocidad. Le dije “¿estás más despierto hoy?” y su respuesta fue hilarante “ya vi que te la aguantas, asi que ahora sí a mi ritmo” me confesó que una vez una chica fue para hacerse algo delicado allí y salió corriendo espantada del dolor, y que se sorprendió que yo pudiera sin quejarme, aunque no pusimos color, hicimos muchas sombras y hoy en día, siguen siendo de los tatuajes que más disfruto ver. Además, no volveré a sufrir esto, ya tengo bastante cubiertos los pies, puedo elegir otro sitio donde tener dibujitos, ¿no?
Another detail I really liked about this artistic expression was that I gave him the idea, and some basic concepts, and he chose to add water around the anchor, and clouds on the rudder, I think that made the idea even stronger. You can really find here my desire to wear these tattooed objects and his passion for what he does. The signature phrase goes like this “Guide me” and “Hold me” and I really think I wouldn't hesitate and choose them again. I'm kind of in love with them, even though I don't like my feet that much, they are the tattoos that have had the most pictures taken of them, haha.

Otro detalle que me gustó mucho de esta expresión artística fue que yo le di la idea, y algunos conceptos básicos, y él eligió añadir agua alrededor del ancla, y nubes en el timón, creo que eso hizo que la idea sea todavía más fuerte. Realmente se encuentran aquí mi deseo de llevar estos objetos tatuados y su pasión por lo que hace. La frase característica dice así “Guide me” y “Hold me” y realmente creo que no dudaría y volvería a elegirlos. Estoy un poco enamorada de ellos, aunque no me gustan tanto mis pies, son los tatuajes que más fotografías han tenido, jaja.
I hope you liked this story, it's quite personal, I really discovered that some parts hurt, because with other tattoos this didn't happen to me, I have an extensive pain spectrum and although they do feel, it had never been painful for me... Me encantaron ambos diseños, además que tienen un gran significado. Son un cable a tierra super poderoso.
Justo esa zona para mi es delicada, creo que no haría nada en ella, sobre todo porque mis pies son sensibles a casi todo, por eso raramente uso sandalias, aunque el verano argentino me ha hecho usarlas de vez en cuando.

La zona es súper delicada, y no recomiendo tatuarse allí jaja, pero en mi caso, también me ayudó a dejar de ver mis pies como una parte de mi que no me gusta, ahora llevan un gran significado para mi.
Me alegro que cada tanto uses algunas sandalias, el verano, el sudor y poder poner los pies en el pasto con facilidad son grandes combinaciones!!
