Cordial greetings my dear Holos&Lotus community, I am pleased to be with you again and especially, participating in this dynamic inherent to one of my favorite movies, Forrest Gump; the extraordinary film that without a doubt, left its mark on those who could enjoy it, particularly on me, and I'll tell you why.

I don't consider myself 100% a filmmaker, but when I get ready to watch a film, I have a sine qua non condition and that is that it has to catch me from the beginning, keep me interested from start to finish. That was the first time I saw "Forrest Gump" from then on, every time I realize that they are showing it on some TV channel, there I stop the remote control and settle down to enjoy it for the umpteenth time. One of the elements that I love, literally speaking of the film, is the self-confidence that the main character projects, a positive self-esteem at full speed, product of the loving formation of a selfless mother; regardless of the opinion of third parties.
Even when those around him cataloged him as retarded or "abnormal", because human beings have that defect, believing that we have the right to determine what is "normal" or not; he never allowed that to affect him, his behavior and thoughts were authentic and coherent; I would particularly like all of humanity to be as "abnormal" or low IQ as Forrest, with that series of deep-rooted values and noble sentiments that characterized him; I think that history would be different from the current one with so much "normality" existing.
Another very motivating aspect for me in this film was the fact that Forrest's willpower broke schemes, according to a medical diagnosis it would not be possible for him to run in his life and we all know what happened, not only did he run an unimaginable mileage; but rather that it dragged masses along its route and set a pattern. In addition, he supposedly had a below average IQ and excelled in all the activities he performed; a reliable sample that there are no physical limitations that can prevent you from achieving what you truly want, the true limitations are those of your mind and I am not talking about pathologies; but of the barriers that we place ourselves; the work is ours, from the inside out; Although there is a physical disability, there is a lot of potential to develop, I certify it out loud.

It was also very empowering, not being emotionally attached to anything; not even Yenny, who was the love of his life, he always let her be and do; until he returned to it voluntarily; attachment usually makes us prisoners and unhappy. At the level of personal development, Forrest Gump left me a different moral in values; I was particularly struck by the following:

In addition to the above, the character showed noble behavior throughout; loving and grateful son; altruistic, risking his life to save others, such as on the battlefield when he saved many of his comrades (including Lieutenant Dan); helping others without expecting anything in return, like his friend Bubba and his family.

The value of loyalty was strongly rooted in the film and closely linked to friendship, above all; in Lieutenant Dan Taylor's relationship with Forrest Gump: The latter, gave obedience to the former at all times, devoted himself to him in his worst moments and helped him reconcile with his tragedy and with God; then Dan, corresponded to Forrest in the same way with commitment and honesty in the businesses that they consolidated together. With his friend Bubba, there was also a great show of loyalty; not only did he keep that promise of the shrimp boat, but he was fair and benevolent to his family by granting him the corresponding profits from the boat. I repeat, hopefully the Forrest will multiply in the world.

The love that the protagonist of this film taught me left me in love, despite the redundancy; it is that clean, innocent, selfless love, not boastful; that love so sublime that you are happy to see the person you love happy; the love of accepting and loving someone as they are, without prejudice or contempt; the love that gives you freedom, that does not judge or condemn; the love that does not betray; a love beyond death because even after death, he continued to love. I think of that love and I can't help but smile in front of the computer with hope
For this and much more, this film is one of my favorites; It is an "in sight" that invites you to reflect that being different does not make you less than anyone else; so that no one distorts you, you allow them to do so; that willpower is a very powerful weapon and the only effective limitation is that of your mind.
