De cómo los niños me enseñan a crecer [Esp-Eng]

Trabajar con niños y para niños, es un reto enorme. Algunos dicen que el maestro o instructor que desempeña tal función, tiene que descender y colocarse al nivel de los infantes, para conseguir que ellos puedan asimilar las enseñanzas.
Desde mi experiencia les puedo decir que es todo lo contrario. Trabajar con y para niños implica despejarse de todos los conceptos rígidos construidos por costumbres, doctrinas y procesos sociales y empezar a ver el mundo desde la limpieza, la fantasía, la inocencia y libertad con que los niños perciben la realidad.

Llevo varios años impartiendo talleres literarios, tanto de apreciación como de creación, para todas las edades. De aquí les puedo decir que un joven o un creador adulto, es capaz de asimilar técnicas, conceptos y procedimientos, casi como un soldado; lo cual puede ser bueno en cuanto al crecimiento del artista, pero peligroso en cuanto al nivel de originalidad a la hora de crear.

Los niños sin embargo, te escuchan con atención pero tus palabras si son muy técnicas, solo serán ruido en su cabeza y lo olvidarán muy pronto. Ah pero si logras conectar con el lenguaje de su imaginación, entonces cada palabra tuya será una imagen, tendrá un sonido y un color, que cada niño traducirá en belleza.
A ellos les importa más que celebres sus creaciones, a que le otorguen un premio en metálico ( ambas cosas son buenas)
Cada vez que comparto un cuento, una canción o un poema, con los niños de alguno de mis talleres y les pido que expresen sus ideas ya sea con textos o con dibujos, ellos me sorprenden con una mirada que va más allá de lo lógico y lo cotidiano y alcanza con acierto extremo, las categorías de lo bello y lo sublime.

Como no soy un especialista en las demás manifestaciones, siempre me ha gustado vincular el trabajo de instrucción a los niños, con artistas y especialistas de otras artes tales vomo la música y las artes visuales, con el fin de ayudar al niño a escoger por sí mismo, el lenguaje, la técnica y la manifestación artística con la que se quiere expresar.
Muchos son los maestros con los que he compartido esta labor. Hoy quiero destacar (sin pronunciar nombres para evitar las omisiones) algunos dibujos realizados por niños de diferentes edades y en diferentes contextos socioculturales.
Cada niño escoge el tema y la gama de colores con los que va a trabajar, a ellos no les interesa que la mayoría de las veces no tengamos ni los colores, ni los materiales necesarios. Un pedazo de papel, un par de crayolas, un espacio en la pizarra o sobre el pavimento les basta. Entre sus temas favoritos estan siempre la naturaleza, las mascotas, la familia y la escuela.
En el mundo fantástico de sus creaciones todo es posible y suficientemente real.

Espero que les guste, para mí es un placer compartir con ustedes estas obras sencillas, ingenuas pero infinitamente auténticas y llenas de una libertad que enamora.

Working with children and for children is a huge challenge.Some people say that the teacher or instruc⁸tor who plays such a function, has to descend and place himself at the level of infants, to ensure that they can assimilate his teachings.
From my experience I can tell you that it is the opposite.Working with and for children involves clearing all rigid concepts built by customs, doctrines and social processes and starting to see the world from cleanliness, fantasy, innocence and freedom with which children perceive reality.

I have been teaching literary workshops for several years, both of appreciation and creation, for all ages.From here I can tell you that a young man or an adult creator is able to assimilate techniques, concepts and procedures, almost like a soldier; which can be good in terms of the artist's growth, but dangerous in terms of the level of originality when creating.
Children, however, listen to you carefully but if your words are very technical, will only turn into noise in their head and they will forget it very soon.Oh but if you manage to connect with the language of their imagination, then every word of yours will be an image, it will have a sound and a color, which each child will translate into beauty.

They care more that you celebrate their creations than you to give them a metallic award (both are good)
Every time I share a story, a song or a poem, with the children of one of my workshops and ask them to express their ideas with texts or with drawings, they surprise me with a look that goes beyond the logical and common and reaches extremely, the categories of the beautiful and the sublime.

As I am not a specialist in the other manifestations, I have always liked to link the work of instruction to children, with artists and specialists from other arts such as music and visual arts, in order to help the child choose for himself, the language, technique and artistic manifestation with which they want to express themselves.
Many are the teachers with whom I have shared this work.Today I want to highlight (without pronouncing names to avoid omissions) some drawings made by children from different ages and in different sociocultural contexts.

Each child chooses the theme and the range of colors with which they are going to work, they are not interested in most of the time they do not have the colors, the necessary materials.A piece of paper, a couple of crayolas, a space on the board or on the pavement is enough for drawings. Among their favorite themes are nature, pets, family and school.
In the fantastic world of their creations all is possible and sufficiently real.

I hope you like it, for me it is a pleasure to share with you these simple, naive but infinitely authentic works and full of a freedom that will make you to falls in love with it.
