Hello, friends of Holos & Lotus.With the desire that they have a beautiful Sunday I arrive on this occasion to share a little about my favorite movie.I think that since the title of my post they have discovered what it is and I must say that this call is very encouraged.
"Life is like a chocolate box, you never know what surprise keeps."This is one of the first sentences that Forrest Gump pronounces and I think that without a doubt it is the perfect preamble for the series of sensitive events that are about to happen in the remaining minutes of this extraordinary film.It is Forrest Gump (1994), Robert Zemeckis's multiplemiated film, an emporium of manifest wisdom and beauty.This is one of the reasons that affect my preference and move to reflection, I have others, of course, and then I will try to summarize them briefly.
The story
Seeing life according to Forrest's eyes is to dare to experience innocence.Forrest, given his neurodevelopmental disorder, has a life full of surprising adventures that his purity of soul translates into well nothing affects Forrest, nothing stops him."Stupid is the one who does the stupid", I think that the "effective intelligence" of Forrest is summarized, who ignores that his actions are life lessons for those who agree and his impact on the characters of the plot and in the spectator issuch that it forces us to rethink our attitude towards us and others.
Transcendental events, friendship and humor
The plot is structured according to the events of the history of the United States in which coincidences and causalities, involve to Forrest.Each offers a learning flow;For the character, knowledge comes without being consciously noticed, for the viewer it is a transit with a different perspective that makes us attend to the details after each event but with a disposition similar to that of Forrest.Terrible facts such as war are nuanced with humor without mocking laughter being the end of the script but the reflective smile that suggests the useless and superfluous of some human acts.In the midst of misadventure he knows Dan and Bubba, two fascinating characters, limited in different ways, who within history move us to question the various positions that we can assume in life.Limits we all have, it is in us to be the angry officer who suffers a transformation from his link with Forrest or BubbTribute to the southern culture of North America.The friendship and generosity of pure souls are the icing on the cake.
Forrest and Jenny
Each ship that Forrest had the name of Jenny.This is the most sublime metaphor of the film.Talk about a selfless, genuine love, camaraderie, ocmpreension, protection and loyalty.Jenny the crazy girl, Hippie, sick, who receives the love of Forrest regardless of what.
Tom Hanks
This may seem the simplest reason, but I think Hanks is one of the most complete actors in the film scene.This was his consecration film.Going through Philadelphia, saving soldier Ryan, the green mile, the terminal ... so many another, Tom Hanks always gives us extraordinary characterizations and colossal verism.
Music and scenes
The soundtrack of this film is a jewel, from incidental music to the classics that recreate the atmosphere or associate with the characters, favor this work to win more artistic solidity and dialogue directly with emotion.As for the scenes for me there are two that stand out: the scene that recreates in real time the path of the pen that floats until falling into dirty shoes of so much world, marking the before and after in the narrative course;The scene in which Forrest knows his son and both enjoy cartoons with the tilted heads.Needless to say how much they make me cry ...
Run, Forrest!Runs!And here the heart.Forrest represents perseverence without limitations, the desire to do and say, embodies the axiom "When you want, you can."Forrest is the symbol of the will that casts myths over barriers beyond those imposed by our minds and social stigmas.Anyway, it is a song to the real freedom of the noble spirit.
I think I could continue delving into it but I fear that this post is extended too much.I hope these reasons show you, in part, my emotion for this particular film and hopefully propitiate dialogue and feedback.For this I invite @roswelborges and @caludiocruz to tell us about their favorite films.

Hola, amigos de Holos&Lotus. Con el deseo de que tengan un hermoso domingo llego en esta ocasión para compartirles un poco sobre mi película favorita. Creo que ya desde el título de mi post han descubierto cual es y debo decir que me anima muchísimo esta convocatoria.
“La vida es como una caja de chocolates, nunca sabes que sorpresa guarda”. Es esta una de las primeras sentencias que Forrest Gump y creo que sin dudas es el preámbulo perfecto para la serie de eventos sensibles que están por suceder en los restantes minutos de este film extraordinario.
Es Forrest Gump (1994), la multipremiada película de Robert Zemeckis, un emporio de sabiduría y belleza manifiestas. Esta es una de las razones que inciden en mi preferencia y me mueven a la reflexión, tengo otras, por supuesto, y a continuación trataré de resumirlas brevemente.
La historia
Ver la vida según los ojos de Forrest es atreverse a experimentar la inocencia. Forrest, dado su trastorno de neurodesarrollo, tiene una vida llena de peripecias sorprendentes que su pureza de alma traduce en bien. Nada afecta a Forrest, nada le detiene. “Estúpido es el que hace lo estúpido”, creo que ahí se resume la “inteligencia efectiva” de Forrest, quien ignora que sus acciones son lecciones de vida para quienes le concocen y su impacto en los personajes de la trama y en el espectador es tal que obliga a replantearnos nuestra actitud para con nosotros y con los demás.
Sucesos trascendentales, amistad y humor
La trama se estructura según
acontecimientos de la historia de Estados Unidos en las que las casualidades y las causalidades, envuelven a Forrest. Cada una ofrece un caudal de aprendizaje; para el personaje llega el conocimiento sin que lo pueda notar conscientemente, para el espectador es un tránsito con una perspectiva diferente que nos hace atender a los detalles tras cada suceso pero con una disposición similar a la de Forrest. Hechos terribles como la guerra, se matizan con humor sin que la risa burlona sea el fin del guión sino la sonrisa reflexiva que sugiere lo inútil y superfluo de algunos actos humanos.
En medio de la desventura conoce a Dan y a Bubba, dos personajes fascinantes, limitados en diferente manera, quienes dentro de la historia nos mueven a cuestionarnos las diversas posturas que podemos asumir en la vida. Límites tenemos todos, está en nosotros ser Dan, el oficial enojado que sufre una transformación a partir de su nexo con Forrest o Bubba, el muchacho camaronero que posee una discapacidad intelectual mucho más agravada pero que impone una nota pintoresca en el panorama, trayendo consigo además un homenaje a la cultura sureña de Norteamérica. La amistad y la generosidad de las almas puras son la guinda del pastel.
Forrest y Jenny
Cada barco que tuvo Forrest llevó el nombre de Jenny. Esta es la metáfora más sublime del film. Habla de un amor desinteresado, genuino, de camaradería, comprensión, protección y lealtad. Jenny la alocada, hippie, enferma que recibe el amor de Forrest sin importar qué.
Tom Hanks
Esta puede parecer la razón más simple, pero creo que es Hanks uno de los actores más completos en el panorama cinematográfico. Fue este su film de consagración. Pasando por Filadelfia, Salvando al soldado Ryan, La Milla Verde, La Terminal… tantas otra, Tom Hanks nos regala siempre caracterizaciones extraordinarias y de verismo colosal.
Musica y escenas.
La banda sonora de esta película es una joya, desde la música incidental hasta los clásicos que recrean la atmósfera o se asocian a los personajes, favorecen a que esta obra gane más solidez artística y dialogan directamente con la emoción. En cuanto a las escenas para mí hay dos que sobresalen: la escena que recrea en tiempo real el trayecto de la pluma que flota hasta caer en los zapatos sucios de tanto mundo, marcando el antes y el después en el curso narrativo; la escena en la que Forrest conoce a su hijo y ambos disfrutan de los dibujos animados con las cabezas ladeadas. Sobra decir cuánto me hacen llorar…
¡Corre, Forrest! Corre! y aquí el corazón. Forrest representa la perseverencia sin limitaciones, el deseo de hacer y decir, encarna el axioma “cuando se quiere, se puede”. Forrest es el símbolo de la voluntad que echa por tierra mitos sobre barreras más allá de las que nos impone la mente y los estigmas sociales. En fin, es un canto a la libertad real del espíritu noble.
Creo que pudiera seguir ahondando al respecto pero temo que este post se alargue demasiado. Espero que estas razones les muestren, en parte, mi emoción por este filme en particular y ojalá propicie el diálogo y la retroalimentación.
