Esta vez quiero intercambiar mi opinión sobre la iniciativa de la amiga @parauri, en su columna “Mirad a los niños” y esta vez nos trae el tema sobre “Vacaciones escolares”, y cuáles herramientas aplican los padres para compartir con sus hijos en estas vacaciones.

Cuando nos enfocamos en las vacaciones escolares de los chamos, es importante señalar como docente y subdirectora de una institución, que a partir del mes de junio ya los estudiantes se vuelven ansiosos e intranquilos para que llegue el periodo vacacional y esperan con desasosiego dicho momento. Estos días de recreación permiten a los muchachos descansar tras haber tenido una larga jornada sin interrupción durante todo el año escolar, por lo cual ameritan de un descanso. Se nota tanta la ansiedad en ellos que algunos salones se vuelven como gallineros, escapándose esta situación de la mano del docente.
When we focus on the school holidays for children, it is important to point out as a teacher and deputy director of an institution that starting in June, students become anxious and restless for the holiday period to arrive and they wait anxiously for that moment. These days of recreation allow the boys to rest after having had a long day without interruption throughout the school year, which is why they deserve a rest. The anxiety in them is so noticeable that some classrooms become like chicken coops, this situation escaping the teacher's hand.
Asimismo, también los padres se preparan para tal acontecimiento y disfrutar con sus hijos, debido a que ellos también requieren de este espacio para recrearse y compartir con sus representados. Es una oportunidad para que los jóvenes y niños liberen la mente de las tareas diarias, que en su momento fueran cumplidas, por lo cual merecen ser recompensados, de lo contrario esto afectaría su estado emocional, hasta llegar a la tristeza por no prestarle a ellos la atención debida. De igual modo, es también el momento ideal para que se fortalezcan los lazos de amor entre los padres y sus hijos, porque aunado al trabajo diario de ellos, se produce un desprendimiento entre los mismos y es el tiempo ideal para que interactúen a través de estas actividades recreativas para salir de la rutina.

De igual modo, tenemos, que hoy en día algunos venezolanos se sienten limitados económicamente y esto no les permite salir con sus hijos de vacaciones, ya que se sienten desmejorados y prefieren recrearse en casa. Por otro lado, tenemos el caso de los padres que no coincide su periodo de vacaciones en el trabajo con el de sus hijos para disfrutarlas juntos, y en su lugar quedan los abuelos o un familiar cercano al cuidado de ellos, realizando actividades recreativas en el hogar.
Likewise, we have that today some Venezuelans feel economically limited and this does not allow them to go out with their children on vacation, since they feel deteriorated and prefer to recreate at home. On the other hand, we have the case of parents whose vacation period at work does not coincide with that of their children so they can enjoy them together, and in their place are the grandparents or a close relative taking care of them, carrying out recreational activities in the home.
Hoy en día, existen muchas formas y opciones para la recreación entre padres e hijos, tales como: Los juegos de metras, enarbolar papagayos en espacios abiertos, el juego de los monopolios, bingo, ludo, lectura de cuentos, jugar béisbol, ir a la playa, a la montaña con sus padres y algunos otros familiares.
Nowadays, there are many forms and options for recreation between parents and children, such as: Metras games, flying parrots in open spaces,story reading, the game of monopolies, bingo, ludo, playing baseball, going to the beach, the mountain with his parents and some other relatives.
A pesar de que estoy en proceso de jubilación como directivo en una institución escolar, el año pasado, en las vacaciones, pudimos cuadrar algunas actividades con un programa emanado de la zona educativa, llamado: “Agosto, Escuelas Abiertas” donde participaron algunos recreadores de la comunidad, y docentes de Educación física de la institución. Cabe destacar que este trabajo, que no es remunerado, ellos lo hacen porque se sienten comprometidos con los niños de la comunidad y zonas aledañas. Igualmente, estas actividades se dan con el propósito de que los estudiantes tengan momentos de esparcimiento, en los cuales se puedan recrear y mantener su mente ocupada, aprendiendo y utilizando herramientas y estrategias que los beneficien a lo largo de su vida.
Although I am in the process of retiring as a director in a school institution, last year, during the holidays, we were able to combine some activities with a program emanating from the educational area, called: “August, Open Schools” where some re-enactors of the community, and physical education teachers of the institution. It should be noted that this unpaid work is done by them because they feel committed to the children of the community and surrounding areas. Likewise, these activities are given with the purpose that students have moments of recreation, in which they can recreate and keep their minds busy, learning and using tools and strategies that benefit them throughout their lives.
Una de las actividades que se planificaron en la institución en el programa “agosto, escuelas abiertas”, fueron: juegos de bingo, ajedrez, bailoterapia, elaboración de materiales didácticos prácticos para trabajar en casa, elaboración de afiches, dibujos con témpera y costura para las niñas.
One of the activities that were planned at the institution in the “August, open schools” program were: bingo games, chess, dance therapy, development of practical teaching materials to work at home, creation of posters, tempera drawings and sewing for the girls.
Lo más importante de las vacaciones escolares es que los niños y adolescentes se aparten un poco las tareas escolares y puedan compartir con sus padres. Asimismo, disfrutar con ellos de un buen esparcimiento.
The most important thing about school holidays is that children and adolescents get away from their schoolwork a little and can share it with their parents. Also, enjoy a good recreation with them.
