Some of my favourite stories around Christmas were about how poor families found happiness in little, simple gifts or what they did for one another. In fact I feel like a lot of the joy and meaning of Christmas got lost in consumerism and competition to spend the most money. When we put the spending aside then we refind the true meaning of Christmas.

I agree with you that when we put aside expenses, we rediscover the true meaning of Christmas: fraternity and peace for men and women of good will, examples for future generations.
Let's hope that this spirit will spread not only at this time of the year.
Greetings.
