"Si yo hubiera sabido", "nunca me monto en ese bus"
Hace ya algún tiempo, se casó una buena amiga en la ciudad de Maracay y ella nos invitó a su boda, la boda se celebraría un sábado en horas de la mañana, decidimos abordar un bus el día viernes, como a las 5:30pm, desde la ciudad de la Victoria hasta Maracay en el Estado Aragua, Venezuela.
Yo no me quería ir ese día, pero después de hablarlo con mi esposo, llegamos a la conclusión que era mejor amanecer en la ciudad de Maracay, así que esa noche nos quedaríamos en la cada de mi hermana, para llegar a tiempo all sitio indicado, donde se celebraría la boda. Sin más que decir, arreglamos el equipaje y, nos fuimos a Maracay.
No sé que pasaba en la autopista, que él chofer decidió irse por la carretera vieja (San Mateo) habia mucha cola, el autobús se detuvo un rato y no sé porque pero yo sentía ansiedad y ganas de bajarme del bus.
Resulta que iban dos delincuentes de pasajeros iban armados y robaron a todos los pasajeros, fueron muy violentos, la gente gritaba y había mucha conmoción; mi esposo y yo ibamos parados y nos quitaron el celular, uno me dijo: "Dame tu teléfono". Me quedé muda, porque ya lo habia entregado, mi esposo le contestó: te lo acaba de dar y el delincuente le contestó: Gracias!! Fue un robo c9n educación.
Pero le doy gracias a Dios porque antes de que el delincuente me abordara, rápidamente había escondido debajo de un asiento, un bolsito donde llevaba el efectivo para pagar el taxi y el bus que nos traería de regreso.
Si yo hubiera sabido, no me monto en ese bus, o me bajo cuando sentí la angustia y el palpito en mi corazón, pero no lo hice.
Al llegar a la ciudad de Maracay en casa de mi hermana donde nos ibamos a hospedar, pensaba: gracias a Dios no nos hicieron daño y lo material siempre se recupera, a pesar de los gritos, confusión e incertidumbre que vivimos durante esa tarde, ya casi noche. Fue como una pesadilla. Pero Dios nos guardó la vida a todos los que ibamos de pasajeros en ese bus.
También meditaba que cuando tengo un palpito o mal presentemiento acerca de algo, debo escuchar mi voz interior y tomar las decisiones conforme a la paz que me pueda generar esa decisión.
Por otra parte, asumir con madurez las consecuencias de las malas o buenas decisiones que tome, es para una mente abierta y madura. Ahora, poco digo "si yo hubiera sabido". Solo me quedo quieta y aprendo de cada circunstancia por más negativa que parezca, siempre existe algo que debo aprender por más dura que parezca la experiencia vivida.
Cuando ya no hay vuelta atrás, ni modo, hay que seguir confiando en que existe un futuro mejor y detrás de cada experiencia hay un aprendizaje.

"If I had known", "I never ride that bus".
Some time ago, a good friend of mine got married in the city of Maracay and she invited us to her wedding, the wedding was to be held on a Saturday morning, we decided to board a bus on Friday, at about 5:30pm, from the city of La Victoria to Maracay in Aragua State, Venezuela.
I did not want to leave that day, but after talking it over with my husband, we came to the conclusion that it was better to wake up in the city of Maracay, so that night we would stay at my sister's house, to arrive on time to the right place, where the wedding would be held. With nothing more to say, we packed our luggage and left for Maracay.
I don't know what happened on the highway, but the driver decided to take the old road (San Mateo), there was a long queue, the bus stopped for a while and I don't know why, but I felt anxious and wanted to get off the bus.
It turns out that two criminals were armed and robbed all the passengers, they were very violent, people were screaming and there was a lot of commotion; my husband and I were standing and they took our cell phones, one of them said to me: "Give me your phone". I was speechless, because I had already handed it over, my husband answered: "He just gave it to you and the delinquent answered: "Thank you! It was a polite robbery.
But I thank God because before the offender approached me, I had quickly hidden under a seat, a small bag where I had the cash to pay for the cab and the bus that would bring us back.
If I had known, I did not get on that bus, or I got off when I felt the anguish and the pounding in my heart, but I did not.
Arriving in the city of Maracay at my sister's house where we were going to stay, I thought: thank God we were not harmed and the material things always recover, despite the screams, confusion and uncertainty that we lived during that afternoon, almost night. It was like a nightmare. But God spared the lives of all of us who were passengers on that bus.
I also meditated that when I have a palpitation or a bad feeling about something, I must listen to my inner voice and make decisions according to the peace that this decision can generate in me.
On the other hand, to assume with maturity the consequences of the bad or good decisions I make, is for an open and mature mind. Now, I rarely say "if I had known". I just stand still and learn from every circumstance no matter how negative it may seem, there is always something to learn no matter how hard the experience may seem.
When there is no turning back, no way, you have to keep trusting that there is a better future and behind every experience there is a learning experience.
