La literatura es una de mis pasiones y me encanta poder participar en esta edición #20 en la que nos invitan a hablar sobre las enseñanzas que nos dejó algún libro que nos cautivó.
fuenteDe todos los que he leído y para no repetir algunos que he visto por la iniciativa, quiero hablar de lo que aprendí en el libro de Oscar Wilde titulado “El retrato de Dorian Gray”.
Uno de los aprendizajes esenciales de la obra tiene mucha relación con la iniciativa propuesta por @damarysvibra porque nos invita a la autorreflexión cuando el personaje principal de la novela Dorian Gray tiene que enfrentarse a las consecuencias de sus propias acciones, lo que nos lleva de manera permanente a estar examinando las acciones que realizamos en nuestra propia vida y la toma de decisiones que realizamos.
Es una novela que me gustó mucho por tocar temas complejos relacionados con la moral de los seres humanos, la estética y la naturaleza del bien y el mal.
Debo decir que, en una etapa de mi vida, pensaba como el protagonista de la novela, el aristócrata Dorian Gray, y me comportaba como tal y, en cuanto aparecieron más años y enfermedades, todo se me vino abajo y tuve que volver a la realidad. Es por eso que me gusta tanto esta novela que les recomiendo.
Lo primero que me enseñó fue lo fugaz que llega a ser la belleza y la juventud. Y, no es que estas cosas duren poco, lo realmente esencial es que la novela nos convida a reflexionar en cómo invertimos nuestro tiempo, cómo aprovechamos la juventud y valorar lo que realmente es esencial en la vida.
Otras de las enseñanzas son las consecuencias del hedonismo y el peligro que tenemos cuando solo vivimos para el placer y la búsqueda constante de la belleza superficial. Quien lleva mucho adentro necesita poco afuera.
La novela me enseñó a valorar la importancia del arte y la estética. Recuerdo que no valoraba una obra de teatro, leía cosas llamadas cursi o no entendía o subvaloraba una obra de artes pláticas. Sin embargo, cuando aprendí a valorar estas cosas, entendí la importancia del arte en la personalidad.
Pero, lo que más admiro de esta obra literaria es que me dejó varias lecciones que las he podido aplicar en diferentes momentos de mi vida y en diferentes situaciones, lo que me ha permitido salir adelante. Por estas y otras razones no expuestas en esta publicación, es por lo que lo considero un libro valioso para la relación que puede establecerse entre los diferentes seres humanos.

Literature is one of my passions and I am delighted to be able to participate in this edition #20 in which we are invited to talk about the teachings of a book that captivated us.
fuenteOf all the books I have read and not to repeat some that I have seen through the initiative, I want to talk about what I learned in Oscar Wilde's book “The Portrait of Dorian Gray”.
One of the essential learnings of the work has a lot to do with the initiative proposed by @damarysvibra because it invites us to self-reflection when the main character of the novel Dorian Gray has to face the consequences of his own actions, which leads us permanently to be examining the actions we take in our own life and the decision making we do.
It is a novel that I enjoyed very much for touching on complex issues related to the morality of human beings, aesthetics and the nature of good and evil.
I must say that, at one stage of my life, I thought like the protagonist of the novel, the aristocrat Dorian Gray, and behaved as such and, as soon as more years and illnesses appeared, everything fell apart and I had to return to reality. That's why I like so much this novel that I recommend to you.
The first thing it taught me was how fleeting beauty and youth can be. And, it is not that these things are short-lived, what is really essential is that the novel invites us to reflect on how we invest our time, how we take advantage of youth and value what is really essential in life.
Other lessons are the consequences of hedonism and the danger we have when we only live for pleasure and the constant search for superficial beauty. Whoever has too much inside needs too little outside.
The novel taught me to value the importance of art and aesthetics. I remember that I did not value a play, read things called corny or did not understand or undervalued a work of plastic arts. However, when I learned to value these things, I understood the importance of art in personality.
But, what I admire most about this literary work is that it left me several lessons that I have been able to apply in different moments of my life and in different situations, which has allowed me to move forward. For these and other reasons not exposed in this publication, is why I consider it a valuable book for the relationship that can be established between different human beings.
