Esta es la era de publicar todo en Internet.
Tomamos un café, lo publicamos; tenemos una nueva relación, lo publicamos; nos acabamos de bañar, lo publicamos. También lo he hecho, hasta que de cierta forma dejo de tener sentido para mí.
Empecé a disfrutar, tomar un café sin tener el teléfono en la mano, salir a caminar solo para despejar la mente, reunirme con amigos o con esa persona que te hace latir el corazón sin siquiera tomar una foto del momento. Solo documento algunas cosas de mi vida, el resto prefiero vivirlo.
Ese ya es motivo suficiente para mantener una vida privada en la era de locura tecnológica. Sin embargo, hay otros dos detalles que me han rondado la mente últimamente.
Estar en redes te enseña desde la experiencia de otros la importancia de la privacidad. Porque Internet no es un lugar seguro.

I started enjoying, having a coffee without having the phone in my hand, going for a walk just to clear my mind, meeting up with friends or with that person who makes your heart beat without even taking a picture of the moment. I only document some things of my life, the rest I prefer to live it.
That's reason enough to maintain a private life in the age of technological madness. However, there are two other details that have been on my mind lately.

Cuídate de la mirada de algunas personas
Esta es la típica frase que nos dicen y a la que no le prestamos atención. Por lo general viene acompañada de "tú crees que todo el mundo es tu amigo". Te apuesto a que sí la has escuchado.
No nos damos cuenta de ello. Creo que a todos nos pasa, somos seres humanos cuya naturaleza es vivir en sociedad, de forma que confiamos en otros de nuestra especie. Lo sé, sueno un poco técnica, pero, así actuamos.
No todos quieren el bien para nosotros, con esto no digo que nos vayamos a los extremos de ser un lobo solitario. Si no que nos cuidemos más. Que mantengamos nuestros planes como algo íntimo y sagrado, como esa caja fuerte que guarda los millones de dólares, cuya clave solo la conocemos nosotros y Dios. Así mismo.
Esos planes que tienes, las metas, el anhelo más fuerte de tu corazón es tan valiosos como la mayor cantidad de dinero en el mundo.
No sé en qué momento dejamos de darle valor, pero, sí, lo tiene. Porque es importante para nosotros. No se necesita más explicación, tan solo ello le añade el costo que tiene.
Y es precisamente por ello que debemos cuidarlo. Habrá amigos, familiares, o conocidos que se alegren por nuestras metas. E incluso, que nos ayuden a construirlas. También habrá personas que solo nos mostraran una cara negativa sobre estos.
Por lo que he llegado a la conclusión que los planes son tan íntimos como una relación de pareja. Y solo salen de mi corazón cuando siento que es el momento apropiado para poder compartirlos.

I don't know when we stopped giving him value, but, yes, he has it. Because it's important to us. No further explanation is needed, it just adds to the cost it has.

Internet es el lugar más inseguro del mundo
Al igual que el anterior, este apartado se relaciona con las personas solo que dentro de la web.
Hace unos días veía como una chica por medio de una fotografía podía determinar el lugar donde fue tomada, la hora, y una buena cantidad de datos importantes. Solo era un video de los que aparecen en el feed de Instagram cuando deseas ver algo de humor.
Dije: ¡Qué peligro!
La tecnología está avanzando cada vez más, me asombra cada nuevo descubrimiento, algunos me asustan, mientras que otros me dejan pensando y queriendo probarlos.
Y así continuará, el ser humano es muy curioso, por lo que hasta por error puede descubrir nuevas cosas. De la misma manera sucede con nuestros planes, o cualquier otra información.
Cualquiera puede acceder a ella solo si somos descuidados. De forma que, conformar una parte de la población que comparten su vida con todos en línea es algo para pensar, y ser más inteligente que los propios algoritmos.

Technology is advancing more and more, I am amazed by each new discovery, some scare me, while others leave me thinking and wanting to try them.

Anyone can access it only if we are careless. So, making up a part of the population that shares their life with everyone online is something to think about, and to be smarter than the algorithms themselves.
