Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to take a look back at a blend of black and white pictures for this weeks Monochrome Monday!

Blending Monochrome Monday

It's always a good thing to have a bit of a blend in life, right? Well I wanted to have a bit of a blend of the monochrome pictures for this Monday!

I've taken a lot, and edited a lot, of pictures for sure. I never really looked but I've got ~300 pictures in my black and white folder on my computer. That's actually way more than I thought I had! LOL. I like it though, because there are so many pictures with lots of variety that I can really enjoy and choose some that are speaking to me at the moment.

With some things going on that are going to present some changes and challenges, I figured that it would be fun to make some switches. It also is a little bit of an issue that I haven't been able to get out there for some photography stuff, even if it's 30-minutes of walking around a spot with my son. It's been pretty cold for the little dude, so we've avoided it a bit for now and will hopefully get out there soon.

Looking at a picture of a nice fire pit makes me want to get one started! Sadly the one that we've got where we live is overrun by assholes who complain about everything, so we've largely avoided it. One of the things I always enjoyed as a kid and in my adult years is to sit in the backyard with a nice fire going and just watch it, relax and enjoy the warmth and embers that roll around. I got to share some of that same enjoyment with my son which is great, now the important thing is to get a place where we can get a fire going and not worry about the miserable jerks!

We just took the Christmas tree down the other day. One of the things that I realized is that sadly, I didn't get to take any photos of the ornaments! I've been taking at least one or two photos of the ornaments for a few years. The funny thing about this one is that it was from a real tree, which we haven't had in a few years at this point. We opted for the fake tree for now, and eventually will get back to using a real tree but it's a lot of work that we didn't need at the moment.

I remember well the ornaments that I made with my son. We made a few dozen of these types of things, but the popsicle stick rein deer were the only survivors for whatever reason! I have to make sure to do some more crafting with him this coming Christmas season.. as it's some great memories for the both of us.

It's a bit hard to believe we are already a month past Christmas! Nice shots!

Ok I started out with a little comment, but it grew and grew, so I ended up just going full post mode (postal? lol)

I really liked this. As always I enjoy your voice and perspective, as well as your artistic vision for photography.
