Another reason to hate them

in Visual Shots9 hours ago

I now that most of you have almost the same amount of hate for this kind of insect, because of how filthy they are to our perception. Although not all fo them are filthy, some are beneficial and hardly touch any disgusting things during its life cycle, but for most for us, most of us agree that they will only be attracted to the disgusting things.

The idea of this post today to give you another reason to have them, because I have the exact example of how filthy this animal can be. Maybe this kind of insect is not very common the the area where we live, but you will have an idea of how their distant family members will behave about the same thing.

I have this fly that was still enjoying the meal that he found of a leaf in the salacca plantation in my late grandfather's house.

I will tell you, that it is what your wild mind gives you the guess. Yep, this little guy was still enjoying the excrement from the other animal there. It most likely to be the poop from a bird.

This little guy was too busy enjoying the food that was presented in front of it, and that gave me plenty of time to get many photos of it. Although it moved around the leaf (I thought that it was about to leave), it kept coming back to the poop and decided to take another bite.

This little guy might be the Plagiostenopterina submetallica, one of the species from the signal fly. The Platystomatidae (signal flies) are a distinctive family of flies (Diptera) in the superfamily Tephritoidea. Adults are found on tree trunks and foliage and are attracted to flowers, decaying fruit, excrement, sweat, and decomposing snails

Yeah those things are gross lol. It's difficult because we need bugs and other creatures to process the poop of other animals. It's a dirty job and someone's gotta do it :D. I think the only bugs I would say I hate off the top of my head are mosquitoes and hornets. Fuck both of them! Lol
