A simple vista, las fuentes de agua son solo elementos decorativos en espacios públicos, pero para mí, significan mucho más. Son fuentes de relajación, inspiración y paz.
Como mencioné días atrás, el sonido del agua tiene un efecto terapéutico en mí, por lo que siempre me siento atraída por él. Pero, en el caso de las fuentes, no se trata solo del sonido del agua. Es todo lo que las rodea: los adornos que las embellecen, las aves que las visitan para beber agua o refrescarse, e incluso las historias que deben guardar; no en vano es común ver monedas en el fondo del estanque que seguramente fueron arrojadas con deseos, anhelos o sueños en mente.
A menudo, me siento y observo todo lo que sucede alrededor de las fuentes, y es mágico. Los niños se acercan con ganas de jugar con el agua, las parejas buscan momentos románticos y otros parecen estar esperando a que sus deseos se cumplan, o simplemente se deleitan observando a las aves en su vaivén. Y así, las personas vienen y van, y desde mi posición, veo cómo se desarrollan historias. Debo admitir que, en ocasiones, me encuentro riendo a solas, probablemente lo mismo que harán los demás al verme inmersa en esa experiencia.
Personalmente, prefiero las tomas en las que los paisajes se muestran en todo su esplendor, sin nada que perturbe la escena. Siento cierta aversión cuando las personas se cruzan en el encuadre, especialmente cuando es inevitable que formen parte de la composición. En ocasiones, es casi imposible lograr esas tomas “limpias”. A menudo, bromeo diciendo que Madrid es esa ciudad preciosa que siempre quieres fotografiar, pero en cuyas tomas siempre habrá alguien atravesado jajaja. Sin embargo, sé que esas “intromisiones” son parte de la historia que construyo en mi mente mientras observo en silencio y a distancia.

At first glance, water fountains are merely decorative elements in public spaces, but to me, they mean much more. They are sources of relaxation, inspiration, and peace.
As I mentioned a few days ago, the sound of water has a therapeutic effect on me, which is why I’m always drawn to it. However, in the case of fountains, it’s not just about the sound of water. It’s everything that surrounds them: the ornaments that beautify them, the birds that visit to drink or refresh themselves, and even the stories they must hold; it’s not in vain that it’s common to see coins at the bottom of the pond, coins that were likely thrown with wishes, hopes, or dreams in mind.
Often, I sit and observe everything happening around the fountains, and it’s magical. Children approach eagerly to play with the water, couples seek romantic moments, and others seem to be waiting for their wishes to come true, or simply take delight in watching the birds in their graceful movements. And so, people come and go, and from my vantage point, I see how stories unfold. I must admit that, at times, I find myself laughing alone, probably just as others do when they see me immersed in that experience.
Personally, I prefer shots where landscapes are displayed in all their splendor, without anything disrupting the scene. I feel a certain aversion when people cross into the frame, especially when it’s inevitable that they become part of the composition. At times, it’s nearly impossible to achieve those “clean” shots. I often joke that Madrid is that beautiful city you always want to photograph, but in its shots, there will always be someone crossing, hahaha. However, I know that these “intrusions” are part of the story I construct in my mind as I silently observe from a distance.

Cuando uno quiere tomarle fotos solamente a los paisajes es solo eso, uno como que quiere que la imagen sea pulcra en ese sentido, pero a veces esta el elemento humano entorpece esa composición. Saludos !

😂 yo me desespero cuando quiero tomar una foto y cuando ya tienes la toma perfecta se atraviesa alguien 😡 me encanta tus paisajes, pero las fuentes en especial con ornamentos son hermosas, detallarlas mientras disfrutas de su sonido, hoy en día siento que pocas personas aprecian su valor histórico, disfrutar de lo relajante de su sonido y ver el agua fluir, como siempre bellísimas fotos.
Yo creo que ahorita vivimos a un ritmo tan acelerado que no nos tomamos el tiempo de contemplar nada, andamos como robot...me pasa muy a menudo.
