After a long period of little rain, high temperatures and unbearable heat, the rain falls. On our island, temperatures rarely drop below 23 degrees Celsius all year round. The geographical position, in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, makes for a tropical climate, which is divided into two seasons, apart from the typical winter, spring, summer and autumn, the rainy and the dry season.
The dry season occurs between the months of November and April where temperatures average around 20 degrees Celsius at night and 27 degrees Celsius during the day, but that doesn't mean it's winter because when you least expect it you can feel a fatiguing 33 degrees Celsius, which is most common between the hours of 12m to 4pm. While the rainy season occurs between May and October, where temperatures can range from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius (or more). The high ambient humidity means that during this time the temperatures feel higher than they really would be.
Now you will think why I am telling you this, because as a lover of photography I always take advantage of every event to go out and, of course, take some pictures. If you have followed several of my publications you know that I am a fan of everyday and casual photos, something a little away from the studio and professional photographs but with a drop of love and affection put in each shot taken.
After walking I came across the doorway of a house, which had a small garden, with its variety of flowers, highlighting one in particular.
We continued the tour, people in the street following the routine of everyday life, others waiting for a break to go out to play dominoes in the usual corner, the truck driver who goes to rest after a day's work.
The night is falling and the sun is touching the horizon, and although the afternoon is still cloudy, it gives us a nice view of the sky, that visible line marked, letting us see a different colour to the sky blue we are used to, for a variety between orange and greyish.
Bache, a word hated by Cubans, that typical hole in the street that if you don't manage to avoid it and it's too deep, nobody can take it away from you. You always have to look for the beautiful side of ugly things and of course, this pothole has it.
The night is approaching and on the way home I focus on this contrast of the modern and the old, this car that, as you know Cuba is a rolling museum of motoring, although it is not of the year it is considered luxury and in the back a structure (building) of the soviet decade.
And last but not least, that vintage convertible sports car that caught my attention.

La humedad ambiente alta hace que durante esta época las temperaturas se sientan más de lo que realmente serían.
Ahora pensaras porque te cuento esto, pues como amante de la fotografía todo suceso ocurrido siempre es aprovechado para salir y como no, hacer unas capturas. Si han seguido varias de mis publicaciones saben que soy fanático de las fotos cotidianas y casuales, algo un poco alejado a las fotografías de estudio y profesionales pero con su gota de amor y cariño puesta en cada toma realizada.
Tras caminar coincidí con el portal de una casa, la cual tenia un pequeño jardín, con su variedad de flores, resaltando una en particular.
Continuamos el recorrido, personas en la calle siguiendo la rutina del día a día, otros esperando al escampe para salir a jugar el domino en la esquina de siempre, el camionero que va a descansar luego de una jornada de trabajo.
La noche cayendo y el sol tocando el horizonte, y aunque la tarde nublada aun, nos deja una bonita vista del cielo, esa línea visible marcada, dejando a ver un color diferente al azul celeste que estamos acostumbrados, por una variedad entre naranja y grisáceo.
Bache, palabra odiada por el cubano, ese típico hueco en la calle que si no logras evitar y está muy profundo la caída no te la quita nadie. A las cosas feas siempre hay que buscarle su lado lindo y como no, este bache la tiene.
Se aproxima la noche y rumbo a casa hago enfoque en este contraste de lo moderno y lo antiguo, ese auto que, como saben Cuba es un museo rodante del automovilismo, aunque no sea del año es considerado de lujo y en la parte posterior una estructura (edificio) de la década soviética.
Y por último y no menos importante, ese deportivo descapotable antiguo que tanto me llamó la atención.
