THE WAY I SEE... "COLORS" - Street photography from Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela || ENG-ESP || (09 Pics)

Hello #Hive visual friends!... Sometimes I can find colours in the streets.... Yes, although more than 80% of my photographic work ends up being in black and white, sometimes I can find colours in my everyday streets... Then I do something different and ‘leave them there in the photos’, I don't throw them away, instead I allow them to ‘happen’ in my photos and I try to give them the prominence they deserve... That's not easy for me, because I got used to ‘think in black and white’ almost all the time, but sometimes colours can break that habit and then photos like these happen, which I brought to share with you today...

Sometimes, when colours appear in my streets, they make me move away from my relatively nihilistic vision of the environment and take me back to previous years, when the colours in the town ‘were the majority’ and a miraculous chromaticism betrayed a thriving place with unquestionable expectations of development and growth... But now is difficult to find vivid colours, I recognise that, they seem to be fading and when they shine, it may only be for a short time... I'm not complaining, I'm actually inhabited by a kind of almost absurd ‘equanimity’, which allows me to wander around the streets taking pictures... However, the colours are always there, no matter how faded, no matter how pristine and lively, they are always there as if trying to remind me that they exist...

Your colorful photos are just as beautiful as the black and white ones, my friend. Thank you for introducing us to the streets and life of Montalbán. 🤗 I loved all the photos, especially Running in spite of... it's so impressive, almost like a scene from a movie. The titles are as intriguing as the photos themselves. For example, why "dead park"? It makes me wonder what happened there. Thank you, I feel like you've made me a guest in the town. 🌸

Awwww, thank you @damla friend for your visit to my work, for your support and for this motivating comment!... I like to caption my photos frequently (usually relate to ‘what goes through my head when I take a photo’)... And that photo (09) corresponds to an old bench in a small park on the southern edge of town, which until about 20 years ago was a very nice, clean and visited place by everyone here... But now it is abandoned and neglected, its paths are littered with rubbish and there are weeds and rusty iron in many of its corners, even some homeless people have used its spaces to spend the night or to live... That's why, in my mind, I call it ‘Dead Park’... It may sound a bit dramatic, but that was a place where I used to take my children to play and walk our puppies a quarter of a century ago, and now it is a decaying place that can even be dangerous at certain late hours... This has been the case with many spaces here unfortunately!... :(

Thanks again for your appreciation!... I wish you a happy weekend!!!!... ;)

it's interesting that by the moments in color there is much more hope that your city has a future and everything will return back - the joy and energy

The colours of my streets are a bit worn, but yes, you're right dear @victorbz friend, they somehow convey that hope that better times will return... Let's hope so and that it doesn't take long to happen!... ;)

Thanks a lot for visiting and supporting!!!
