So you have to make an additional effort to endure the bad and take advantage of the good things that this beginning of the rainy season offers... Make the light and take the picture!! ..
Bien, estamos en Mayo; este condenado mes en el que acostumbran comenzar las lluvias, aumentar el calor y tener una humedad tan alta como para que el aire pudiese ser cortado con tijeras... ¡No precisamente algo delicioso para salir a hacer fotos en las calles, pero hay que decir que la luminosidad disponible suele ser muy buena!... Así que hay que hacer un esfuerzo adicional para soportar lo malo y aprovechar las cosas buenas que este inicio de temporada lluviosa ofrece... ¡Hágase la luz y hágase la foto!...

This flat, off-white May light is good for viewing colour photos, but it also makes them very suitable for editing in black and white... This kind of ‘soft box’ effect generates soft contrasts and very well defined shapes; this translates into very suitable levels to be manipulated at will while editing these photos and this is something decisive to achieve good results in black and white... So take a look at these monochrome photos!
Esta luz plana y blanquecina de Mayo es buena para ver las fotos a colores, pero también las hace muy propicias para editar en blanco y negro... Esta especie de efecto como de "soft box" genera contrastes suaves y formas muy bien definidas; esto se traduce en niveles muy adecuados para ser manipulados a placer mientras se editan estas fotos y esto es algo decisivo para lograr buen resultado en blanco y negro... ¡Así que miren estas fotos en monocromático entonces!

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.

Ciertamente el clima actual no es para nada agradable, pero salir a tomar estas fotos creo que valió la pena por el gran resultado final. Quedaron muy hermosas, mi favorita es «un atisbo al jardín de Antonio».

Que árbol tan bello en la entrada de tu pueblo ¿Qué árbol es?
:)) Algo así, la volvimos a pintar de blanco hace más de un año para lidiar con la radiación solar!!!... Creo que es por esa misma razón que las pintan así en Grecia y en otras costas mediterráneas... Ese es un árbol de Apamate y florecen en esta época del año, hay muchos en el pueblo, la flor dura apenas 4 o 5 días, pero es un espectáculo... Gracias por apreciar @gatubela y feliz semana!!!
Así es, esa es la razón, ayuda a reducir la temperatura en el interior de las casas y son más frescas.
Ah, un apamate, hermoso árbol, creo que por aquí también hay unos cuantos, lo que pasa es que no soy muy experta en reconocerlos y tampoco en identificarlos 🥴😬.
