Whenever for some reason I go for a walk around my neighbourhood, I especially enjoy taking pictures of everything that catches my eye. I usually stop to take pictures of flowers, trees, the occasional stray cat, and also vehicles. But not just any vehicle, but the old cars that are so common in the city of Havana and that we can see driving through its streets every day.
These cars always surprise me by how well preserved they are despite the passage of time, the merit goes to their owners, who go to great lengths to keep them running. Although they have had to make modifications and improvements over the years, they still retain their elegance and classicism.
Here are some of the photos I have taken on my tours. Some of the cars are more beautiful than others, but they all have the merit of continuing to function over time. Many of these cars are more than seventy years old and still drive around the streets of Cuba as if time had stopped for them.
I hope you like this selection. As a little plus at the end I show you a motorbike that I didn't expect to find in this remote place where I live.

Cada vez que por alguna razón salgo a caminar por los alrededores de mi vecindario, me entretengo especialmente tomando fotografías de cada cosa que llama mi atención. Generalmente me detengo a tomar fotos de flores, arboles, algún que otro gatico callejero, y también vehículos. Pero no cualquier vehículo, sino los autos antiguos que son tan comunes en la ciudad de La Habana y que podemos ver recorriendo sus calles a diario.
Estos autos siempre me sorprenden por lo bien conservados que están a pesar del paso del tiempo, el mérito es de sus dueños, que hacen lo imposible por mantenerlos en funcionamiento. Aunque con los años han tenido que realizarles modificaciones y mejoras, todavía conservan su elegancia y clasicismo.
Aquí les muestro algunas de las fotos que he tomado en mis recorridos. Algunos de los autos son más bonitos que otros, pero todos tienen el mérito de seguir funcionando a lo largo del tiempo. Muchos de estos tienen más de setenta años y aún circulan por las calles de Cuba como si el tiempo se hubiera detenido para ellos.
Espero les guste esta selección. Como un pequeño plus al final les muestro una motocicleta que no esperaba encontrar en este lugar tan apartado donde vivo.
