You're witnessing some crazy stuff in your city. Wow - kind of the stuff I've been afraid of when I moved to the US. Thankfully, I haven't seen any of this (yet). I'm glad you kept your cool while it happened... and then then cops checking on photos - LOL

This city ain't been right since 2020. It wasn't before then either but things have gotten much worse, everyone is just so much more volatile. I sometimes forget how desensitized we are to that sort of thing here in the US but it's still rather jarring at that proximity. Lol, it seemed the safest thing to do. The cops just made it all the more surreal.
And it was safe! So, good call. The very possibility of violence is why I hardly ever do anything even remotely resembling street photography. Total chicken. But also - I know how I feel when I see I'll be in someones photos, not liking it. Having said all that - I really like street photography. Guess I am a very conflicted soul - LOL
