PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography - In the night city.

in Visual Shots3 months ago

I dedicated to this topic many posts in my personal blog post. I called this series "Why I love night photography, and why you should too" and started adding my posts to it in 2016. Night photography as the "regular" street photography is very special kind of activity for my . It's not about just clicking during the street walk, but sometimes also very nice create a connection with passers-by.
Harsh scenes of the real streets, not always beautiful and fashionable attract me much more than the clean and shining lights of the high society neighborhoods.

Today I was lucky to watch a 12 short documentary film - "Suitcase Joe: The Grey Flowers of Los Angeles | Documentary"
by Paris Angelo. It's about anonymous street photographer Suitcase Joe's journey Documenting Skid Row already about 10 years.

Highly recommended for these who are in love with the old school, pure black and white documentary photography.

I publish this above for the "📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 80" https://ecency.com/hive-153349/@photofeed/photofeed-contest-street-photography-round-80 by @photofeed

I'm happy that my previous image was featured in the Street Photography Round 79.

For these who are still love to hang a prints to their walls or to use a postcards to write one the back some beautiful word to their loved ones.

Printable Art of many of my works is available in my Redbubble Store :

Great Shots 💥 very nice your job!

thank you very much

There is a kind of "signature" in all your photos @victorbz friend, one can know that a photo is yours just by seeing it... Excellent night street photo... That is another of my "unfinished business" I think... It is difficult for me a lot of going out into the streets at night here in my town... :)

Huge thank you my friend for the kind words.
Just curious to know why its difficult - there is no light or its dangerous ?

Oh well my friend, it's not really dangerous... But despite this being a small town, the nightlife (especially on weekends) is quite let's say "lively"... The real reason is because a little less than a couple of decades ago I drank alcohol almost daily (yes, despite being a national IT manager for a corporation and working continuously, I also drank almost daily) and I also smoked constantly (I got to the point of consuming 2 packs of 20 cigarettes a day sometimes)... So, I had to make very drastic decisions (I'm good at that, I can go from one extreme to another, but I can't do things gradually usually)... So one day I stopped drinking alcohol and smoking... I must confess that (surprisingly) it didn't cost me too much to do that!... But the people around me (including family) were something different... They almost all died of an attack of disbelief!... hahaha :)) ... And well, going out on the streets at night here in my town, is finding myself with that "other me" that I left behind a long time ago... The streets here at night are usually full of corners where you can drink alcohol and expose yourself to endless temptations (I don't want to sound puritanical, but believe me, ours is a rather "libertine" society, I can assure you)... So for many years now, I tend to limit my outings at night... I know this sounds strange, but please "I'm a crazy guy with a camera in my hand in a small town in Venezuela" ... So almost anything can be expected of me!... hehehe :))... And on the other hand: "Now I sleep at 8:00 AM and wake up at 5:00 AM!"... How could I go out at night with that sleep schedule?... hahaha :))

Greetings!... And thanks for this opportunity to write (it's another of my favorite "catharsis")!...

oh what a story, brother.
i really understand you. i'm working no under bigger pressure i worked ever. don't know how i survive this. I never smoked (only sometimes some not nicotine related stuff), so it's never was a problem. I love beer, sometimes shots, depend on what is my mood. Last week i attended three rock'n'roll events and each time ended with beer and shot - nothing can tempt me if i decided something. :-)
and the streets here are absolutely different as you can see by the images.
Happy that you wrote. It was interesting to read about this part of your history :-)
