Lección de vida /// Life lesson
Rolando era un joven que estaba acostumbrado a vivir bien tenía un bello departamento y un lujosísimo carro, él también se encargaba de dirigir la empresa de su papá pero en una oportunidad él quiso hacer algo en la empresa con lo cual el papá no estaba para nada de acuerdo con la nueva medida que este adoptaría en la misma.
Rolando was a young man who was used to living well, he had a beautiful apartment and a luxurious car, he was also in charge of managing his father's company but once he wanted to do something in the company and his father was not at all in agreement with the new measure that he would adopt in the company.
Una mañana al llegar a la empresa su papá lo estaba esperando en la oficina para conversar con él sobre unas nuevas medidas que quería tomar en la empresa, su padre intentó convencerlo de que no era conveniente implementar esas medidas en la empresa, pero Rolando le dijo que quien manejaba la empresa era él y ahí se hacía lo que él decidía, Rolando se marchó a una junta y su papá se quedó en la oficina con un dolor muy fuerte en el pecho. Viendo que se sentía muy mal, se fue de inmediato a ver a su doctor, el cual le dijo que su corazón estaba en muy malas condiciones y que tenían que hacerle un transplante, a lo cual el señor se rehusó por completo.
One morning when he arrived at the company his father was waiting for him in the office to talk to him about some new measures he wanted to take in the company, his father tried to convince him that it was not convenient to implement those measures in the company, but Rolando told him that he was the one who managed the company and there he did what he decided, Rolando left for a meeting and his father stayed in the office with a very strong pain in his chest. Seeing that he felt very bad, he immediately went to see his doctor, who told him that his heart was in very bad condition and that he had to have a transplant, which Rolando refused completely.
Pasaron varios días y el papá de Rolando lamentablemente falleció, pero antes de morir había dejado unas instrucciones con uno de sus trabajadores, que era su mano derecha; este inmediatamente llamó a Rolando y le comentó lo que había pasado y también le mencionó las instrucciones que su papá le había dejado con él y que si él las cumplía al pie de la letra sería el dueño por completo de la empresa.
Several days passed and Rolando's father unfortunately passed away, but before he died he had left some instructions with one of his workers, who was his right hand man; he immediately called Rolando and told him what had happened and also mentioned to him the instructions that his father had left with him and that if he complied with them to the letter he would be the complete owner of the company.
Total que su viaje consistía en visitar a varios amigos que había dejado su padre a través del tiempo y en cada casa que llegaba le daban una instrucción diferente. Él partió en su flamante carro pero al llegar a la primera casa tuvo que dejarle las llaves al señor para que este le pudiera entregar una de las pistas y unas botas que suelen usar los trabajadores, al principio él se negó, pero después aceptó tomó su maleta y emprendió su viaje caminando.
So his trip consisted of visiting several friends that his father had left with him over the years and in each house he arrived at he was given a different instruction. He left in his brand new car but when he arrived at the first house he had to leave the keys to the man so that he could give him one of the tracks and some boots that workers usually use, at first he refused, but then he accepted, took his suitcase and started his trip walking.
Cuando inició su caminata no se dio cuenta que había algo de excremento en la carretera la cual era de tierra y lo pisó sin darse cuenta al ver lo que había pasado decidió cambiarse los zapatos por las botas que el amigo de su papá le había dado y no tuvo más remedio que botar los zapatos lujosos que llevaba puesto. En el transcurso del camino se consiguió un carro modesto el cual tenía que cambiarle un caucho porque estaba pinchado y cuando él se acercó al carro y empezó a mirarlo se le acercó una chica y entonces ella le dijo que si le cambiaba el caucho le daría la cola hasta el sitio a donde él se dirigía.
When he started his walk he did not realize that there was some excrement on the road which was dirt and stepped on it without realizing it, when he saw what had happened he decided to change his shoes for the boots that his father's friend had given him and he had no choice but to throw away the luxurious shoes he was wearing. Along the way he got a modest car which he had to change a tire because it was flat and when he approached the car and began to look at it a girl approached him and then she told him that if he changed the tire she would give him the tail to the place where he was going.
Total que Rolando hizo lo que la chica le dijo y cuando este se dispuso a buscar su maleta la muchacha se fue y lo dejó en el sitio, él muy enojado siguió su camino, llegó a una gasolinera y ahí estaba la muchacha echando gasolina y él se percató que era el mismo carro y le pinchó el caucho a drede, cuando ella salió del negocio que estaba en frente se disculpó con el muchacho y en esta oportunidad decidió llevarlo.
Rolando did what the girl told him and when he went to look for his suitcase the girl went away and left him in the place, he went on his way very angry, he arrived at a gas station and there was the girl pumping gas and he realized that it was the same car and he punctured the tire on purpose, when she left the business that was in front she apologized to the boy and this time he decided to take him.
En el camino empezaron a conversar para conocerse mejor, llegaron a un sitio donde había una granja y bueno una de las cosas que tenía que hacer era vestirse como un granjero y efectuar los trabajos que ellos suelen hacer, total que aceptó y lo hizo sin vacilación pasaron unos días muy bien allí con los dueños de la casa y llegó el día de partir a su última parada.
On the way they began to talk to get to know each other better, they arrived at a place where there was a farm and well one of the things he had to do was to dress like a farmer and perform the work they usually do, so he accepted and did it without hesitation spent a few days there very well with the owners of the house and the day came to leave for their last stop.
Cuando iba en camino hacia su destino la muchacha empezó a sentirse mal porque le faltaban unas pastillas las cuales ella solía tomar ya que tenía problemas con el corazón y por supuesto él no lo sabía, pero lo insólito del asunto era que ella había conocido al papá de Rolando cuando este estaba ingresado en el hospital, él le prometió que le iba a pagar el trasplante de corazón a lo cual ella se negó pero él insistió tanto que ella tuvo que aceptarlo.
When she was on her way to her destination the girl began to feel bad because she was missing some pills which she used to take because she had problems with her heart and of course he did not know it, but the unusual thing was that she had met Rolando's father when he was in the hospital, he promised her that he would pay for the heart transplant to which she refused but he insisted so much that she had to accept it.
Total que Rolando tuvo que hacer una parada y dejarla en el hospital con unos amigos de ella, de inmediato se dirigió al sitio en donde lo estaba esperando el amigo de su papá para darle una última instrucción, él agarró la carta, la leyó, se acercó a la tumba de su padre y le dijo que él siempre lo había querido y que por siempre él estaría en su corazón.
So Rolando had to make a stop and leave her at the hospital with some friends of hers, he immediately went to the place where his father's friend was waiting for him to give him a last instruction, he took the letter, read it, approached his father's grave and told him that he had always loved him and that he would always be in his heart.
Con esto Rolando consiguió que la empresa fuera totalmente suya pero recapacitó y dijo en los medios de comunicación que ya no reemplazaría a sus trabajadores por unas máquinas porque la experiencia que tuvo le enseñó que las personas tienen que trabajar para poder sostener a su familia y si él decidía hacer lo contrario muchas personas se iban a quedar sin trabajo y no iban a tener cómo darle el sustento a sus seres queridos.
With this Rolando managed to make the company totally his, but he came to his senses and told the media that he would no longer replace his workers with machines because the experience he had taught him that people have to work to support their families and if he decided to do the opposite, many people would be left without work and would have no way to support their loved ones.
Luego de esto se dirigió al hospital en donde se encontraba la muchacha a la cual él ya sentía que amaba profundamente y ella a él también, decidieron hacerle el trasplante de corazón y fue todo un éxito. Rolando feliz le pidió que fuera su esposa y ella sin titubear aceptó, se casaron y fueron felices por siempre.
After this he went to the hospital where the girl he already felt he loved deeply and she loved him too, they decided to do the heart transplant and it was a success. Rolando happily asked her to be his wife and she accepted without hesitation, they married and were happy forever.
Con esta lección de vida Rolando se dio cuenta que su papá siempre había tenido la razón, pero había algo que no sabíamos y era el hecho de que su mamá se había muerto cuando él apenas tenía 7 años y él culpaba a su papá de la muerte de su madre. Y por esa razón se la llevaba tan mal con su papá pero después se dio cuenta de que no era así, todo lo que su papá lo puso a hacer él lo hizo y se percató que era para que apreciara la vida desde otra perspectiva. Ya que él estaba acostumbrado a vivir de una manera lujosa, a tenerlo todo a conseguirlo todo de una manera por decirlo así fácil y hacer las tareas que su padre le dejó encomendada hizo que agradeciera a su papá todos esos momentos inolvidables que vivió al lado de todas esas personas que tuvo que conocer en especial a su amada esposa Verónica.
With this life lesson Rolando realized that his dad had always been right, but there was something we didn't know and that was the fact that his mom had died when he was only 7 years old and he blamed his dad for his mother's death. And for that reason he got along so badly with his dad but later he realized that it was not like that, everything his dad made him do he did and he realized that it was so that he would appreciate life from another perspective. Since he was used to live in a luxurious way, to have everything, to get everything in an easy way and to do the tasks that his father left him entrusted made him thank his father for all those unforgettable moments he lived next to all those people he had to know, especially his beloved wife Veronica.
