Una mujer arriesgada ///
A risk-taking woman
Esta es la historia de Carla una mujer emprendedora a la que le encantaba su trabajo pero aparte de eso tenía un esposo y tres hijos, como su trabajo requería que ella estuviera constantemente viajando, muchas veces se sentía mal porque no podía atender a su familia como ella deseaba, pero tampoco estaba dispuesta a dejar su trabajo porque la hacía sentir tal cual como ella era.
This is the story of Carla, an enterprising woman who loved her job but also had a husband and three children. As her job required her to be constantly traveling, she often felt bad because she could not take care of her family as she wished, but she was not willing to leave her job because it made her feel as she was.
En una oportunidad se reunió con su jefe, con su asistente y otros empleados y cuál fue su sorpresa que su jefe le dijo que en Inglaterra había una persona muy importante que se había interesado en uno de sus proyectos, el cual le daría mucha ganancia tanto a la empresa que lo aceptara como a la empresa donde ella laboraba.
On one occasion she met with her boss, her assistant and other employees and to her surprise her boss told her that in England there was a very important person who was interested in one of her projects, which would give a lot of profit to both the company that accepted it and the company where she worked.
Total que Carla tenía que viajar esa misma noche para conocer a la persona interesada y trabajar en el proyecto para que una compañía lo pudiera aceptar siempre y cuando esté fuera muy llamativo pero para eso se necesitaba mucho esfuerzo de parte de Carla porque tenía que viajar varias veces para poder finiquitar el proyecto.
Carla had to travel that same night to meet the interested person and work on the project so that a company could accept it as long as it was very attractive, but that required a lot of effort on Carla's part because she had to travel several times to be able to finalize the project.
Cuando esta llegó a su casa le comentó a su esposo que habían aceptado una de sus propuestas en Inglaterra y que estaría muy ocupada por varios meses, él le dijo que estaba bien y que le deseaba de todo corazón que ese proyecto se le diera.
When she arrived home she told her husband that they had accepted one of her proposals in England and that she would be very busy for several months, he told her that he was fine and that he wished with all his heart that the project would be given to her.
Esa noche Carla viajó a Inglaterra para encontrarse con Sebastián que era la persona que se había interesado en su proyecto, un hombre apuesto, interesante y muy caballeroso. Esa día trabajaron muy duro, luego él la llevó a comer a un excelente restaurante.
That night Carla traveled to England to meet with Sebastian who was the person who had been interested in her project, a handsome, interesting and very gentlemanly man. That day they worked very hard, then he took her to lunch at an excellent restaurant.
Luego de finiquitar varias cosas importantes ella regresó nuevamente a su casa. Pero tuvo que regresar nuevamente a Inglaterra a hacer una presentación del proyecto que querían presentar. A la compañía interesada, les gustó mucho el planteamiento que ellos le hicieron pero todavía se requería ultimar algunos puntos importantes para poder lograr que la compañía decidiera apoyar el proyecto que le estaban ofreciendo.
After settling several important matters, she returned home. But she had to go back to England again to make a presentation of the project they wanted to present. The interested company liked very much the approach they made, but they still needed to finalize some important points in order to get the company to support the project they were offering.
Por esta razón Sebastián le dijo a Carla que podían trabajar cada uno desde su casa y cuando estuviera todo listo entonces se lo presentarían a la empresa interesada y así lo hicieron.
For this reason Sebastian told Carla that they could each work from home and when everything was ready then they would present it to the interested company and so they did.
Como todo iba marchando muy bien Sebastián le dijo a Carla que podía pasar tiempo con su familia y eso la puso muy contenta a ella y lógicamente a su familia, pasaron unos días extraordinarios hasta que Sebastián llamó a Carla y le dijo que tenía que ir a Inglaterra lo más pronto posible y ella al decírselo a su esposo este se entristeció un poco.
As everything was going very well Sebastian told Carla that she could spend time with her family and that made her and logically her family very happy, they spent some extraordinary days until Sebastian called Carla and told her that he had to go to England as soon as possible and when she told her husband he was a little sad.
Cuando Carla llegó a Inglaterra se llevó a su asistente, la cual era muy brillante en lo que hacía y ese día presentaron el proyecto en su totalidad, la persona que estaba interesada en el proyecto quedó totalmente convencido que valdría la pena invertir en el mismo.
When Carla arrived in England she took her assistant with her, who was very brilliant at what she did and that day they presented the project in its entirety, the person who was interested in the project was totally convinced that it would be worth investing in it.
Carla estaba ansiosa por saber si aceptarían el proyecto o no, estando en su oficina Sebastián le hizo la anhelada llamada, le dijo que todo había sido un éxito total, esto lógicamente hizo que ella se sintiera inmensamente feliz y también el jefe de la empresa donde ella trabajaba.
Carla was anxious to know if they would accept the project or not, being in his office Sebastian made the longed call, he told her that everything had been a total success, this logically made her feel immensely happy and also the head of the company where she worked.
Ese mismo día el jefe de Carla quería que ella se fuera de viaje para finiquitar otra propuesta, pero ella le dijo que no, que si iba lo haría el lunes, ya que quería pasar el fin de semana con su familia además estaba nevando y ella quería hacer un muñeco de nieve con sus hijos y su esposo.
That same day Carla's boss wanted her to go on a trip to finalize another proposal, but she said no, that if she went she would do it on Monday, since she wanted to spend the weekend with her family and it was snowing and she wanted to make a snowman with her children and her husband.
Al jefe no le quedó otra alternativa que aceptar su condición porque sabía que Carla era una pieza imprescindible en su compañía. Cuando llegó al sitio donde su familia la estaba esperando le dijo a su esposo Angel, que ella estaba infinitamente enamorada de él y de toda su familia, que de ahora en adelante las cosas iban a ser diferentes porque a pesar de que Sebastián era un hombre apuesto, atento, elegante ella en ningún momento dejó que eso la impresionara.
The boss had no choice but to accept her condition because he knew that Carla was an indispensable piece in his company. When she arrived at the place where her family was waiting for her, she told her husband Angel, that she was infinitely in love with him and his whole family, that from now on things were going to be different because even though Sebastian was a handsome, attentive, elegant man, she never let that impress her.
Me encanta esta historia porque la lección es muy significativa, pues nos deja ver que aunque tengamos trabajos con personas importantes influyentes, apuestos, si tenemos claro que amamos profundamente a nuestros esposos y a nuestra familia nada va a impedir que eso siga siendo así.
I love this story because the lesson is very significant, because it lets us see that even if we have jobs with important, influential, handsome people, if we are clear that we love our husbands and our family deeply, nothing will prevent this from continuing to be so.
