The importance of immediacy in writing
It just happened to me that I had the idea for a publication based on something I experienced a few days ago, and the text just didn't flow. When I thought of the text, I was very clear on how to put it together, but I didn't have the time to write it, and now that I have the time, I just can't find the way to express what I originally wanted.
The idea is still there, but it looks kind of blurry, not as clear as it was in my mind originally. Maybe because of the passing of the days, maybe because writing as a tool for reflection no longer makes sense, and as a memory, at least in me, it doesn't flow with the same naturalness.
Which makes me think about the immediacy at the moment of writing. Something that is not without irony because I always complain about immediacy as a problem of our times, in which the new generations especially, have everything, literally, at their fingertips, at the distance of a simple click.

In the case of writing it is a little different, but immediacy is also key, because, as it has already happened to me, if one does not express/explore in the moment, with the help of one's fingers, what one is thinking or experiencing, afterwards it is simply not the same. In this case, writing is like fresh food, that cold or reheated, simply does not taste the same.
And it is partly because in these cases, writing is more than a registering tool, it is also a tool for exploration, it is research as well as presentation, it is background and form at the same time in its rawest and most honest form. And in this sense it allows us a glimpse, almost without filter, into the soul and style of the author, which makes it easier to connect with the author.
When you write in this way, you practically reveal your thought structure, your internal logic, and this is usually shared, to a lesser or greater degree, by your peers, by your readers with whom you share this times, and the challenges that come with it. That is why reflective writing can be attractive, because rather than expressing certainties it explores doubts, because rather than giving answers it offers possibilities.

When reading, one accompanies the writer in his/her logic, and understands him/her, and even if one does not always agree with him/her, one can understand the reason for his/her statements, which in turn makes us question or strengthen our own. Whether we want to or not, we establish a dialogue with what we read, and with ourselves, and this is important, it is valuable, especially in these times when reflection is so low.
There is also a factor of authenticity, which is evident even through errors, in this type of writing. The thought goes and comes in search of its path, and is recorded there, humanizing the text, and making it more interesting and richer, it is a kind of light essay, because it shares its spirit but not its rigor.
Whenever possible, let's write things down whenever they occur to us, even if only partially; the result, in addition to being therapeutic, will generally be more interesting and honest for those who read, and more productive and illuminating for those who write. It's a win-win where there is always little to lose.

There will be times when the result is too personal to be shared, but even in those cases the benefits are important, and there is always the possibility of using that text, which helped us to visualize things, to generate another one that helps us to share them. Let's not lose sight of the fact that there are many types of writing, and there are also many benefits to practicing it, and publishing is just one of them.

La importancia de la inmediatez al escribir
Acaba de pasarme que tenía la idea para una publicación a partir de algo que experimenté hace unos días, y simplemente el texto no fluyó. Cuando pensé el texto, tenía muy claro como armarlo, pero no tenía el tiempo para escribirlo, y ahora que tengo el tiempo, simplemente no encuentro la manera de expresar lo que quería originalmente.
La idea sigue ahí, pero se ve como borrosa, no con la claridad con que estaba en mi mente originalmente. Tal vez por el paso de los días, tal vez porque la escritura como herramienta de reflexión ya no tiene sentido, y como memoria, al menos en mí, no fluye con la misma naturalidad.
Lo que me hace pensar sobre la inmediatez al momento de escribir. Algo que no deja de ser irónico porque siempre me quejo de la inmediatez como un problema de nuestros tiempos, en que las nuevas generaciones sobre todo, tienen todo, literalmente, al alcance de sus dedos, a la distancia de un simple click.

En el caso de la escritura es un poco distinto, pero la inmediatez es también clave, porque, como me sucedió ya, si uno no expresa/explora en el momento, con la ayuda de los dedos, lo que esta pensando o experimentando, después sencillamente no es igual. En este caso la escritura es como la comida fresca, que fría o recalentada, simplemente ya no sabe igual.
Y es en parte porque en estos casos, la escritura más que una herramienta de registro, es también una herramienta de exploración, es investigación a la vez que presentación, es fondo y forma a la vez en su forma más cruda y honesta. Y en este sentido nos permite un vistazo, casi sin filtro, al alma y estilo del autor, lo que facilita conectar con este.
Cuando uno escribe de esta manera prácticamente deja ver su estructura de pensamiento, su lógica interna, y esta suele ser compartida, en menor o mayor grado por sus pares, por sus lectores con los que comparte un tiempo, y los retos que vienen aparejado con este. Por eso la escritura reflexiva puede resultar atractiva, porque más que expresar certezas explora dudas, porque más que dar repuestas ofrece posibilidades.

Uno al leer acompaña al escritor en su lógica, y lo comprende, y aunque no siempre coincida con el/ella puede entender el porque de sus afirmaciones, lo que a su vez nos hace cuestionar o fortalecer las propias. Se quiera o no, se establece un diálogo con lo que se lee, y con uno mismo, y esto es importante, es valioso, sobre todo en estos tiempos en que la reflexión está tan a la baja.
Hay también un factor de autenticidad, que se hace evidente incluso a través de los errores, en este tipo de escritura. El pensamiento va y viene en busca de su camino, y esto queda ahí registrado, humanizando el texto, y haciéndolo más interesante y más rico, es una especie de ensayo light, porque comparte su espíritu pero no su rigor.
Siempre que nos sea posible escribamos las cosas en el momento que se nos ocurren, aunque sea parcialmente; el resultado, además de terapéutico, será generalmente más interesante y honesto para quien lee, y más productivo e iluminador para quien escribe. Es un gana-gana en el que casi siempre hay muy poco que perder.

Habrá veces que el resultado sea demasiado personal para ser compartido, pero aún en esos casos los beneficios son importantes, y siempre queda la posibilidad de a partir de ese texto, que nos ayudo a visualizar las cosas, después generar otro que nos ayude a compartirlas. No perdamos de vista que hay muchos tipos de escritura, y hay también muchos beneficios al practicarla, y publicar es solo uno de ellos.
