In the 90's, when a man saw a single stick in the bush, it meant he would be a rich man, and it was very hard to see a single stick in the bush but sticks were seen in other places, stubborn people throw it in the bush, so they would go there to collect it and get rich, but even the people who threw it in the bush, still did not see it, if they went there because it was not yet their time to get rich.
Edna was with his girlfriend, he wanted to marry her but had no money to do so, he had been complaining, where would he get money to pay her dowry but with the love Reginald had for him, she knows they would get through it together.
Edna went home with Reginald, he showed her to his parents, as the person he want to marry, his parents gave him their blessing, Edna's father was a Palm harvester, so he didn't have much money, he did his best to live a meaningful life with his wife and sent Edna to school, at his graduation, he met Reginald, the love of his life.
Edna and Reginald went into the bush to plug avocado, he stepped on a stick and didn't notice what was on his foot, Reginald did the same, and when it was time for them to leave the nearby bush, Edna saw that he had seen a stick, with a mouth that spoke to him, to hold on to his faith, he is a lucky man and he would be rich.
Edna ran out of the bush, left the pear there and Reginald brought it out for him, he narrated what the stick told him in the bush, his father who was an old man performed the next things to do, Reginald had no idea how the people of the village get rich, when she saw Edna and her father dancing and singing in native language, she asked Edna's mother what her son and father were doing.
The mother explained that her prayers had been answered, Edna would be rich because the stick had spoken to him in the bush, Edna and Reginald went to the city, not long he was offered a letter of appointment from the company he applied to.
Edna worked and saved money, he was able to pay Reginald's dowry, Edna did not forget the day a stick told him, he would be rich, so he made a stick out of paper, and placed it in his garden to hear more prophecies of his life.

Edna se fue a casa con Reginald, el la mostro a sus padres, como la persona con la que se queria casar, sus padres le dieron su bendicion, el padre de Edna era un cosechador de palmas, por lo que no tenia mucho dinero, el hizo lo mejor que pudo para vivir una vida significativa con su esposa y envio a Edna a la escuela, en su graduacion, conocio a Reginald, el amor de su vida.
Edna y Reginald fueron al arbusto a tapar aguacates, él pisó un palo y no se dio cuenta de lo que tenía en el pie, Reginald hizo lo mismo, y cuando llegó el momento de que salieran del arbusto cercano, Edna vio que había visto un palo, con una boca que le hablaba, que se aferrara a su fe, que era un hombre con suerte y que sería rico.
Edna salió corriendo del arbusto, dejó la pera allí y Reginald se la sacó, le narró lo que el palo le dijo en el arbusto, su padre que era un anciano realizó las siguientes cosas a hacer, Reginald no tenía ni idea de cómo la gente del pueblo se hace rica, cuando vio a Edna y a su padre bailando y cantando en lengua nativa, le preguntó a la madre de Edna que hacían su hijo y su padre.
La madre le explicó que sus plegarias habían sido escuchadas, Edna sería rica porque el palo le había hablado en el monte, Edna y Reginald se fueron a la ciudad, no tardaron en ofrecerle una carta de nombramiento de la empresa a la que se presentó.
Edna trabajó y ahorró dinero, pudo pagar la dote de Reginald, Edna no olvidó el día en que un palo le dijo, que sería rica, así que hizo un palo de papel, y lo colocó en su jardín para escuchar más profecías de su vida.
