Would you choose me?
In a room full of people you love, would you choose me?
If your life depended on it, or even if it didn't, would you choose me?
If there was a gun to your head, or even if there wasn't, would you choose me?
If the world was ending and you wished for someone to end it with, would you choose me?
In a world where all everyone cared about was themselves, would you choose me?

If life took everything away from us and left us desolate and destitute, would you choose me?
If I lost my limbs, was left decapacitated, and cursed to forever be a burden, would you choose me?
If we were to be cast away in love's sempiternal abyss, would you choose me?
If we were to be locked up far away in a dungeon where we would no longer be witnesses to the gracious rise and fall of the sun, or hear the crawdads sing, would you choose me?

If I were put up against everything you hold dear, would you choose me?
If you were compelled to be a saviour and spare a life, would you choose me?
If there was no reward, would you choose me?
A thousand times over, would you choose me?

Deep down in your heart, if you had to make a choice
Genuinely, sincerely, wholeheartedly
Would you choose me?
