The Engineer

Joe was at the age of 7 when she was physically challenge. This happens from a car accident which he had with his parents. He lost his left hand why the right arm was not fully functioning anymore. This made him to be categorised among the handicapped persons in his class. He thought about going to a schools where people of his kind condition is highly accepted, same as other deformities which have no room for stigmatisation, preferences and selection based on physical properties of a living being.
He felt so bad about his mental condition.
To his father, he was physically challenged and was unable to participate with other kids of his age grade.
His parents were faced with making the hard choices for him by sending him to the school of handicaps owned by the Catholic Church.

He had his academic years and career in the Catholic school and graduated as a degree holder in engineering. This was the beginning of his good days ahead.
Inspirations care from left, right and centre and he was chosen among the best civil engineers in the country to work with the national government, same as the international bodies to save the world from floodings, earthquakes and other natural disasters.
Even though he was chosen to work with the best in the country, his inability to use his arm to do what others do was a little bit challenging for him. This made him to feel very bad which also affected his mental health same as his thinking faculty.

He thought of getting married to one of the engineers chosen by the country but he was rejected, and not just rejected, she considered him to be less than a man who will not meet up to the standards set for big girls for marriage.
This got him tired and confused about what people think and take him people for.
On second thoughts, he believed in karma for and God who brings goodies to his way.

After three years of working as a professional in the country, he got the interest of the international body, not just as a member of the best engineers, but as a problem solver who should represent the entire body of civil engineers in the whole wide world.
He got appointed and was tasked to oversee all the activities of civil engineering jobs done locally and internationally.

Few years later Cynthia whom she asked out came back to look for him in order to have a chat.
He was so surprised to hear from his secretary making mention of Cynthia's name.
He gave an appointment letter to Cynthia to meet with him later after work because he believed that the meeting was not work related.
After work, he stood by his car and waited for Cynthia to arrive.
When she got close to him, she began to cry and beg for forgiveness for not accepting him for who he was.
She asked for mercies and begged that he should give him a second chance to prove her love for him.
Unknowingly for Cynthia, Mercy was already there in his life and has been taking good care of him, even as his girlfriend.
This broke Cynthia's Heart and made her to think otherwise.

She stopped crying and gradually began to say some annoying words to Joe.
She said so much of it from top to bottom, analyzed him and even insulted him.
Joe felt so bad that a lady only came to enjoy who he has become and not to help solve the challenges that he's facing.
He quickly ordered the security personnels to bundle her out of the property.
She was detained and arraigned before the court of law for abusing Joe same as committing the crime of character assassination.

After she was fined for the crime committed, Joe began to make findings on the reason why she came by. Surprisingly, he discovered that she was running for the post of vice president in his organisation which he stands as the sitting President of the international organisation of civil engineers.
I feel so broken and disappointed in her for trying to use him as an advantage to win his political ambition.

The election they came and Cynthia was disqualified for verbally abusing the sitting President. She was also forced to denounce her participation as one of the members in the international organisation of civil engineers.
Her pride brought her from top to the ground. They also terminated her contract, which served as her major source of income for over three years of her membership in the organisation.
What a bad experience for Cynthia.

In life we must not underestimate people based on their condition or challenges which the face.
