Greetings Everyone.
Living with a step mother was never part of the plan, but what else can Stephen do other than accept his Fate after his mum passed on and his dad decided to get a new wife. Stephen was just seven (7) years old when his mom died of cancer and left him to suffer under his stepmother.
His stepmother who was married two years after his mom died stepped in and became the master of all, she decides what happens in the house and neither Stephen nor his father had a say. She was bent on making sure Stephen regretted ever coming to this life as she makes sure he starves but still ensures he carries out all the necessary chores.
Stephen comes to school very late everyday and he became famous and a well known late comer in school, but nobody understood the pain of this little boy, they make mockery of him for putting on torn school uniforms and he never fought back. Stephen still leaves school before dismissal so as to be able to finish his chores before nightfall.
Stephen became one of the famous beggars in school cause he has to do that before he gets anything to eat. Every night the little boy cries and wished it was possible to raise the dead for he would have raised his mother from the dead . His dad was never around and never cared to ask about his faring, he only asks the stepmom and whatever she says is what he takes.
After thirteen (13) years of living with this evil stepmother, Stephen has come of age a little and can now speak for himself, tho still scared of what might come up later. He started staying out late in which sometimes she locks the door and never lets him in but since he has gotten friends, it doesn't bother him anymore. After sometime Stephen moved out of his father house to be with his friends.
Stephen got into drugs and armed robbery in order to make ends meet, every night him and his group of friends do their dirty works and after every successful mission they party. After three months of been in the business Stephen and his group of friends were arrested and brought to court, they were sentenced to 15 years in prison.
On his way of the court room he burst into tears and said " She made me do it" pointing at his stepmother.

Vivir con una madrastra nunca fue parte del plan, pero ¿qué más puede hacer Stephen que aceptar su destino después de que su madre falleciera y su padre decidiera conseguir una nueva esposa? Stephen tenía solo siete (7) años cuando su madre murió de cáncer y lo dejó sufriendo con su madrastra.
Su madrastra, que se casó dos años después de la muerte de su madre, intervino y se convirtió en la dueña de todo, ella decide lo que sucede en la casa y ni Stephen ni su padre tenían nada que decir. Estaba empeñada en asegurarse de que Stephen se arrepintiera de haber llegado a esta vida mientras se asegura de que se muera de hambre pero aún así se asegura de que lleve a cabo todas las tareas necesarias.
Stephen llega a la escuela muy tarde todos los días y se hizo famoso y conocido por llegar tarde a la escuela, pero nadie entendió el dolor de este niño, se burlan de él por ponerse los uniformes escolares rotos y nunca se defendió. Stephen todavía sale de la escuela antes de la hora de salida para poder terminar sus tareas antes del anochecer.
Stephen se convirtió en uno de los famosos mendigos de la escuela porque tiene que hacer eso antes de conseguir algo de comer. Todas las noches, el niño llora y desea que sea posible resucitar a los muertos porque él habría resucitado a su madre de entre los muertos. Su padre nunca estuvo cerca y nunca se preocupó de preguntarle sobre su situación, solo le pregunta a la madrastra y lo que ella diga es lo que él toma.
Después de trece (13) años de vivir con esta malvada madrastra, Stephen ha alcanzado la mayoría de edad y ahora puede hablar por sí mismo, aunque todavía tiene miedo de lo que pueda surgir más adelante. Empezó a quedarse hasta tarde en el que a veces ella cierra la puerta y nunca lo deja entrar, pero como tiene amigos, ya no le molesta. Después de un tiempo, Stephen se mudó de la casa de su padre para estar con sus amigos.
Stephen se metió en las drogas y el robo a mano armada para llegar a fin de mes, todas las noches él y su grupo de amigos hacen el trabajo sucio y después de cada misión exitosa se divierten. Después de tres meses de estar en el negocio, Stephen y su grupo de amigos fueron arrestados y llevados a juicio, fueron sentenciados a 15 años de prisión.
De camino a la sala del tribunal se echó a llorar y dijo "Ella me obligó a hacerlo" señalando a su madrastra.

I understand that we need to take accountability for our actions but this story is so relateable.
If you hear the stories of some people who society term criminal, you would shed tears.
Indeed, Stephen’s story is like many but the fact remains that the responsibility lies on each and every one to treat people kindly both relatives and strangers.

This is very relatable. I've heard stories of innocent people society tagged "criminals". I don't want to get into the details but reading this just made me remember them. Being a sad story doesn't stop it from being a good read. Keep it up man
