In this video, I discuss the the statistically significant increase on the Spellbook purchases we've seen this month since the US election.
Obviously, Bitcoin has been on an absolute rampage since the election topping out very close to $100k, but this has trickled down into the rest of the crypto market and we are seeing interest flow into Splinterlands. The timing of the Free To Play launch was also great as now new prospective players are able to try out versions of the game with more functionality before diving in to buy a Spellbook.
When you break it down by the numbers, over the past 6 months we have been averaging about 1.7 Spellbook purchases per day. Looking only at the last 2 weeks though, that number is over 2.9.
This may not seem like much, but keep in mind that the percentage gain is significant and that compound gains really start to add up over time. This means we are getting 365 additional players more than we used to before - and it's still very early in this phase of the bull run.
I'll continue watching these numbers as we go along but with all that Splinterlands has planned for Q1 2025 I expect we will start to see the impact felt in other areas of the game (SPS, cards, land, etc). Exciting times ahead!

Glad to see that we are in an upward trajectory when it comes to Spellbook purchases.
It is great to see some new players coming in. It is nothing like I recall 10+ spell book purchases per day a while back, but hopefully we will get there!
Is nice to see spellbook sale growth!
longest streak of spellbook purchases in a long time. Good to see new people coming in. I hope they can get cheap chaos cards before people buy them up for hardcore mode
On the surface the numbers do look small, but I reckon it might just get higher. Things needs to get to that stake where FOMO starts to push the numbers strongly
