Deeplurker is one of my most used and most valued Chaos Legion cards for the sheer amount of impact that it can have in a battle. Targeting the lowest health monster on the enemy team to have a great impact against valuable backline monsters.

The Strategy

It was a Silver League, 42 Mana battle with Spreading Fury. I try to avoid too much magic based damage with this ruleset because it enhances the enemy team if they have armour.

PositionCardLevelReason
SummonerKelya Frendul3Extra Speed and Armour which can be quite desirable in this ruleset if played correctly.
Position 1Serpent of Eld3High damage, high health and speed to tank damage and hit hard.
Position 2Flying Squid4Reach allowing attacks from the second position but also a great option as second tank with high hitpoints.
Position 3Deeplurker4Our star of the week with high damage, opportunity and high hitpoints. Great at taking out the backline.
Position 4Merdaali Guardian3Tank Heal to look after the front line. Good against Magic attacks with the enrage ruleset.
Position 5River Hellondale1My one Magic damage monster with the Resurrect ability to bring back a friendly monster.
Position 6Axemaster1Strong backline with high speed and decent health. Enhanced by the double strike ability.

The Result

The battle began with both sides trading blows. Axemaster quickly destroyed the taunting Mycelic Slipspawn. Merdaali Guardian healed our Serpent of Eld and Deeplurker eliminated the enemy Venari Scout in a single strike.

Round two saw the enemy tank, Unicorn Mustang survive many blows but succumb to our Flying Squid. Deeplurker took out the enemy Goblin Psychic and it was all but over for the enemy team.

Round three began with Serpent of Eld slaying the Royal Peryton and the Goblin Tower crumbling to Deeplurker. No friendly casualties were sustained.
