Greetings Summoners! Welcome to Battle Mage Secrets. The Battle Mage Secrets is a challenge where every week players must test their strategic skills in battle for specific rules. This week the specific rule is "Aimless":
- All units have the Scattershot ability.
- Scattershot can target Camouflaged units.
This battle was played in a Splinterlands tournament where only the Chaos Legion and Rebellion editions were allowed to play. It was in the "Summoners' Novice Beginner Training" tournament, so only level 1 cards were allowed. Let's see the rules, the team and the details of the battle.
Battle Rules & Strategy
This is a 37 mana battle with two battle rules (Aimless and Taking Sides) and where only Fire and Dragon elements are allowed to play.

Strategy & Tips
Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target due to Aimless battle rule.
Using melee attack monsters is a good idea to avoid random attacks.
Pick a strong tank!
Fire and Dragon elements have very strong melee attack monsters, so using armor is important.
To benefit as much as possible from the effect of our summoner, we will try to use as many melee attack monsters as possible.
My Lineup
 Tarsa was surrounded by a tribe of barbarians. Barbarians that were angry she was on their land, using their resources, and hunting their animals. They tried to talk to her, but Tarsa cared little for conversation. She was stronger than all of them combined. She flicked her wrist and bolts of fire shot from her spinning torrent, impacting the warriors around her. They screamed. Tarsa: I really like this summoner as it gives +1 health to all friendly monsters and +1 melee damage to all friendly monsters with melee attack.
Forgotten One: This is a strong and very complete tank for 9 mana. It has a good combination of Attack, Armor and HP.
Ferox Defender: This card gives +2 armor to all friendly monsters. I think it’s very useful since many of our monsters have no armor. Armor will allow us to resist more attacks from enemy monsters with melee and ranged attacks.
Gobalano Soldier: This unit gets to act before the battle begins. It is a good card to try to get the first kill.
Torch Vizier: Incredible card with high speed that can attack from any position and target the enemy monster with the lowest HP.
Tenyii Striker: This card can target the last monster on the enemy team. This is a very effective card for killing enemy monsters with low HP that players often use in the last position.
Venari Heatsmith: I choose Venari Heatsmith as my sixth and last card position because it has a decent Speed and Armor for only 3 mana. Using it in the last position allows us to defend our strongest monsters from enemy monsters with the Sneak ability.

This was a great battle. My opponent played very well. He is a very good player! I am happy with my victory and the strategy I used. I have won 20 SPS for finishing 3rd in this tournament. I won 17 battles out of 21. It was amazing!
Personally I don't like the "Aimless" rule very much, because when two players use very similar compositions with ranged and magic monsters it depends a lot on luck.
