Greetings Summoners! Welcome to Battle Mage Secrets. The Battle Mage Secrets is a challenge where every week players must test their strategic skills in battle for specific rules. This week the specific rule is "Stampede":
Trample will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.

This battle was played in a Splinterlands tournament where all Modern sets (Chaos Legion and Rebellion) were allowed to play. It was in the "Tidalring Modern Novice Invitational". This tournament has a novice format so only level 1 cards can be used. Let's see the rules, the team and the details of the battle.
Battle Rules & Strategy
This is a 49 mana battle with 3 battle rules (Explosive Weaponry, Born Again and Stampede). All elements except Life are allowed to play.

Monsters with high HP are important
Using monsters with Heal or Triage is a good idea
Monsters with high speed are important. If we manage to kill an enemy monster before our opponent does, we will have a great advantage in the battle.
To benefit as much as possible from the effect of our summoner, we will try to use as many Magic and Melee attack monsters as possible.

Lorkus: Strong legendary summoner that gives +1 melee attack and +1 magic attack to all friendly monsters and the abilities "Life Leech/Affliction" or "Trample/Fury" to two friendly monsters at the start of the battle.
Cursed Windeku: I like this tank as he does damage back to the attacker.
Venator Kinjo: This Monster is immune to all indirect, or reflected damage. That means that it will not take damage from Blast, Thorns, Return Fire, or Magic Reflect.
Djinn Muirat: Good magic card that can be used as a tank due to its HP and Armor.
Barashkukor: Barashkukor is an amazing magic attack card with a nice combination of magic and HP. Even if its mana cost is high, it's a perfect card for high mana battles.
Djinn Inferni: I like this card as it does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana.
Djinn Apprentice: Low mana card with no abilities at level 1 but very useful in magic attack compositions.

This was a great battle. I think my strategy worked well. Does magic damage is very important to avoid opponent's heavily armored monsters. Monsters with magic attack may do damage from any row, since this form of attack ignores the defender’s Armor STAT (damage is applied directly to health). Unless there is a monster with Phase on the enemy's team, magic attack will always hit. There is no miss chance. So I am happy with the result and the strategy I used. I have won 64.150 SPS for finishing 8th in this tournament. It was amazing! Entry was free and there were 228 players registered.
