Hello Guys!
Yeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. Today I wanna share my amazing battle vs Mordeus, The Scary monster Chaos Legion Legendary monster. I was very surprised by Mordeus' damage, especially with the Fury ability obtained from the Rulesets. Just imagine Mordeus with 12 melee damage and piercing ability, of course very scary. Once attacked, my little monsters immediately died.
Actually, I have never used Mordeus level up in my battle formation, considering that I rarely use Fire elements in battle, so I was really surprised by Mordeus' deadly ability. The reason I have never used this monster is that the rent is very expensive. Well, it's comparable to the ability you have.
Are you curious about how this battle went? Without further ado, let's get straight to the point of this post. Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I did this battle in the modern battle Diamond league, and maybe the strategy I used was not suitable for other leagues because of the differences in the abilities of each monster that was different in each league.
BATTLE PREPARATION
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Lost Magic (Monsters with magic attack may not be used in this battle)
- What Doesn't Kill You (All Monster have Fury ability)
- Reverse Speed (Monsters with lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks)
- Mana Capacity 43
- Active Element Fire, Water, Life, Death and Dragon.
I decided to use the Life deck, but since Magic monsters can't be used in this battle, I decided to use General Sloan as a Summoner, instead of Grnadmaster Rathe. The goal is obviously to increase the attack damage of rage monsters. I will explain the strategy of each monster in the table below.
Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
![]() | Summoner | +1 Range | Sloan's buff will increase the attack of the Range attack, which will be the main attacker in my battle, because Magic monsters cannot be used in this battle. |
![]() | First (Tank) | Flying, Recharge, Heal, Redemption | Max level Uriel The Purifier as the main tank, although the attacks from this monster are unreliable because of the very tricky Recharge ability, but because this monster has good stats as a tank, this mnster will definitely be able to protect the monsters behind it well. Flying and Heal abilities will make this monster last longer from enemy attacks. |
![]() | Second Tank | Shield, Giant Killer, Inspire | Chaos Knight is a tank that is perfect for battle non magic, because it has a Shield that will reduce Melee and Range attacks, and has an Inspire ability that will provide an attack damage increase buff for all friendly monsters. |
![]() | Third (Attacker) | Sneak, Poison | A neutral monster with a sneak ability who is one of the attackers, especially having melee attacks who will also receive an increased damage buff from the Chaos Knight. |
![]() | Fourth (Attacker) | Flying, Close Range, Deathblow | Range monsters that will get an attack increase buff from General Sloan. |
![]() | Fifth (Attacker) | Sneak, Life Leech | Just like Uraeus, Sneak is the second monster who becomes an attacker with the opponent's monster attack target whose position is the most powerful. Will work with Uraeus to complete the attack quickly. |
![]() | Last (Tank, Main Attacker) | Blast, Forcefield | Monsters with a large Range of damage, and will get a buff to increase damage from Sloan as well, and have a Blast ability which of course the attack will be very explosive. In addition, this monster also has Forcefield ability so it is suitable to be the rearmost tank. |
You can see the complete line-up of both teams in the table below. The opponent uses Summoner Tarsa which gives a +1 Melee attack buff. It's no wonder that Mordeus' damage will be extraordinarily large. Open only MOrdeus, also melee other monsters will also have a very large daage. Although there are only 5 monsters in the opponent's formation, the monsters chosen are the strongest monsters, namely Forgotten One, Gargoya Devil, Mordeus, MoltenAsh Golem, and in the last position there is Tinderlock.
BATTLEFIELD ARENA
I have uploaded the video of this battle to my channel, so to see the course of this battle you can also directly click the youtube video below.
This battle runs pretty fast, only requiring 4 rounds to complete. Although from the first I immediately felt frustrated because I saw the damage from the opponent's big monsters, it turned out that I could win this battle. Let's see how this battle goes per round!
The first round usually starts with buffs and debuff parties from all Summoners and Monsters. Not long after, something unexpected happened soon, my Uraeus died in one Mordecan attack and this was the only monster to die in this round. The first round ended with an attack from Tinderlock that missed Uriel The Purifier.
The second round began with an attack from Mordeus. High school is like the first round, one attack Mordeus immediately killed the Gargoya Devil who at that time had 4 Heal and 2 Armor. Uriel The Purifier died from the Forgotten One attack which at that time had 11 Melee attacks. The redemption of Uriel The Purifier makes Gorgotten One die, and also Enrage Mordeus is active, so Mordeus currently has 12 Melee attacks. Again, Tinderlock's attack misses the target, which is Chaos Knight.
In this third round, Prisologist became the first attacker, and his attack was able to kill the opponent's Gargoya Devil in first place, and the resulting Blast was able to reduce Mordeus' 3 Health. Now Mordeus is in first position with 1 Health left. Mordeus eventually died after being attacked by the Chaos Knight. At the end of the third round, there were 2 monsters left on the opponent's side, and 3 monsters on my team.
At the beginning of round fourth, Tinderlock died from the Prismologist's blast, and not long after that Molten Ash Golem who became the last monster also died from the Chaos Knight's attack. That way ended this battle. I won with the remaining 3 monsters. You can see the final result of this battle in the picture below.
What do you think, man? Do you like this battle? I hope you are not disappointed with what I share.
