@apiculture is a TOP TIER validator run by @abrockman and @ecoinstant - whose lives have been forever changed by Splinterlands.
Of course we cannot forget our dear friend Elias Max Pruit, of EMP fame, perhaps you have faced the mighty @emp-warden on the battlefield, thanks to @burlarj for always representing the brand with honor. We can also remember the legendary battle with @yabapmatt for the 4th golden Heloise, we are "deep" into Splinterlands. (Glad you got yours Matt!)
I asked @abrockman to say a few words to the Splinterlands Community about what this all meant to him, and he shared with me this:
To the incredible Splinterlands community, I’m reaching out with a heartfelt message about why I’ve chosen to run an SPS validator node. After years of unwavering dedication to this game and its ecosystem, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be leveraging my longstanding account, apiculture, which many of you may know from its days as a trusted Hive Engine witness in good standing. This isn’t just a technical step for me - it’s a pledge to the future of Splinterlands, a game I’ve been passionate about since nearly day one. As a whale with massive collection power and a significant stake in SPS, I’m stepping up to champion the decentralization of this extraordinary project, ensuring it remains the thriving, player-driven world we all love.
I’m not embarking on this journey solo. I’ve assembled an exceptional team to keep our validator node running seamlessly and dependably, and I’m incredibly proud of the group we’ve built. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of onboarding countless new players to Splinterlands — an experience that’s been profoundly meaningful to me as a longtime member of this community. Seeing fresh faces dive into the thrill of battle and grow alongside us has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my journey here. Running this validator is my way of giving back, ensuring Splinterlands continues to expand, welcomes even more players, and stays true to its decentralized ethos.
This mission is deeply personal, and I’m humbly asking for your support to help it succeed. Any votes you deem worthy will mean the world to me, strengthening our network and propelling Splinterlands forward. Yes, that's me in my Splinterlands T-shirt, purchased through the Untamed Kickstarter which made it possible to expand our farm "down to the river" in a key moment. Playing splinterlands changed my life.
Splinterlands in many way is the flagship for all that is possible with these new open-source and decentralized technologies. I am a part of creating that new world, and Splinterlands has been with me. I am not an OG, I was late to the party and got in on some Untamed Kickstarter. It changed my life, and I am still here - even if I take a break now and again to collect avocados in my SL gear.
I am no stranger to tech, I am a PM. I run nodes for three projects already, 4 MYRIANODEs with @thecrazygm and @abrockman, a hive-engine witness @locolombia with @balaz and our HIVE witness @synergy.witness with @bamlolx, @endecs and @thecrazygm.
This is right up our alley - and we are proud to do it. We are your champions, my friend.
