I don't use a translator when I write comments because I use it as an exercise to improve my ability in writing in english: nowadays online translators do a very good job, but for that reason they don't push you to learn more... they do all the job and they do it quite well, so you don't feel the "urge" to improve. Hence why I prefer to be slow but make some practice :)
What is your native language
Italian! :)
I am not a native English speaker either
You write so well I thought you were a native English speaker 😅
I did the same :)
I am originally from Calcutta, India, but now I live in Houston, TX for many years
Going to Venice for spring break, do not ask me why?!
I guess the "Carnevale di Venezia" might be involved? 🤣
I've been to Venice 2 or 3 times and it's a beautiful city: I like it more than Rome... and I must admit that it might be even better than Florence! Even if Florence has obviously my heart ahahah but Venice has a unique charm that you can't find anywhere else (at least in Italy).
I've never been to India, but it's one of those place where I wish to go one day, not lastly because Indian is one my two favourite exotic cuisine. I also love temples and history, and India has plenty of both :)
We, our family, absolutely adore Italy. I like to stay in each main city for a week! But I have to retire from work before I can do that!
My older daughter been to Florence last year, I haven't been. I want to go obviously but won't happen on this trip
Hope she enjoyed her time here in Florence! And hope you can get here too sooner than later :) and I also suggest you to visit a bit of Tuscany when you'll come here, as Tuscan countryside is lovely and there's plenty of small medieval towns which are very very enjoyable to visit (and they are far less touristic than the major cities).
