Splinterlands Is Making Waves!
Successful as it already is, Splinterlands again is making a lot of noise in the #gaming #playtoearn and crypto community following the successful launch of the Splintershards (SPS) Token. If you have been playing the game, chances are you also are smiling from ear to ear, enjoying the SPS token airdrop. The airdrop shall be received daily for 365 days based on a user's Splinterlands assets holdings.
The primary goal of the token is to reward Splinterlands players and asset holders, which is why 13.33% of the total token supply is going towards an airdrop which will be conducted over a 12 month period to holders of nearly all types of Splinterlands assets. 1

There was no snapshot taken to determine the airdropped rewards to the users. Instead, SPS tokens will be airdropped to asset holders on a daily basis over a 1-year period.2
One of my regrets, if you'd call it that, is that I did not really play the game in the early stages. Yes, I bought my first packs way back in 2018 when it was launched, but since I cannot understand it, I never played it again until last year.
There's really nothing much I can do now except to keep on doing what I can do to grow my account.
Credits may be used to purchase items in the shop or marketplace. 1000 Credits is valued at $1.00.
So far, I have received 11,500 Credits for free. Let me share with you how.

- Payment via Electroneum wallet, where my ETN coins were cloud mined through my mobile.
Google Opinion Rewards on Android
This app is also available to IOS users. Please note that there may be location restrictions.
The app will prompt you to answer quick surveys that can pay you up to $1 per survey. The amount earned will be added to the Google Play balance which can be used for in-app purchases in the Google Playstore. Below, you will find a screenshot from the app where I have a balance of AED 8.16 ($2.22).

From the Opinion Rewards App, search the Splinterlands App and click on "Play" to be redirected to the game.
You can now buy credits. Small Pack (2000 credits) is worth $2 or AED 7.69

After choosing the desired pack, click on "Pay Now" and you will be redirected to Google Play and confirm paying with "Google Pay Balance".
Verify the purchase and now you are ready to shop items in the Splinterlands Shop!

Buying Splinterlands Credits Using Electroneum Wallet
If you've been in the cryptospace for some time, chances are you have heard about Electroneum and its free cloud mining on mobile. For quite some time a user could mine tokens but then that was changed last year (or before that) and the cloud mining stopped and now the only way to earn ETN is through their freelancing platform, AnyTask.
I never really bothered with the wallet anymore since they stopped the cloud mining. Then I found Splinterland's Twitter Post where one commented that he had purchased credits using the Electroneum Wallet.
I have got to try this!
So here's how I did it. (Note: Click on the photos to view larger image.)
1. On the upper right corner of the Splinterlands screen, you will find your available credits, DEC, and SPS. Click on the plus (+) icon. |  |

| 2. Specify the amount of credits you wish to purchase and they click the "crypto" button . |  |
| 3. Scroll down to find "Electroneum". |  |
4. The Payment Page will show you the QR code you can scan, or the wallet address details for manual payment. Go to your Electroneum wallet to complete the payment. Once done, click on the green button - "payment sent" and wait for the transaction to complete. |  |
One the Electroneum wallet:
- Click on "Pay".
- Scan the QR code on the Payment page on Splinterlands or enter the wallet address.
- Confirm and pay.
Now wait for the payment to be processed on the Electroneum blockchain and received by Splinterlands. While the Electroneum confirmation came about 10 minutes later, the purchased credits took longer to appear.
Nonetheless, the credits are now reflecting in my Splinterlands account, waiting to be spent.

This is great to know. I've had a bunch of Electroneum sitting in a wallet somewhere (been so long I have it find it) doing nothing. Now I can spend it - finally!

Thank you. I just did this. I had mined $2.60 worth of Electronium in 2018. I was able to buy 2500 Splinterland Credits. I'm not sure what those are but I'm going to learn splinterlands. I have starter packs from back in the day but never played because it looked too complicated.
You're welcome. You can use thr credits to buy cards in the market. The default payment there is DEC; just click the dropdown menu to change to Credit.

About getting the credit for FREE... you actually bought the credits for play store dollar and ETN, if I'm not mistaken. This means you could get the play store dollar and ETN for free but the Credits is not free in that sense.
Free for me means I did not spend anything to buy something. hehe
Oh! I was wondering how you get free credits. Well mine I got it from Brave BAT Rewards instead. lol.
