Splinterlands — Olivia VS Quora, bronze tournament battle

Hello everyone, this is my entry for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!, where I'll be sharing with you an exciting battle in a bronze tournament.

At the moment, Olivia is the only card that has the Mimic ability, which allows her to gain a random ability from a unit on the enemy team. Additionally, she has a 25% chance to gain a random ability from an attacker when hit. I was very lucky to get 3 golden cards, one in each of the last seasons, I hope that this season will also grant me one more golden Olivia to level her up to lvl 4.

I would like to play her more often in ranked, but unfortunately, unless the battle lasts long enough, she usually gets defeated in the early rounds. I hope she reaches max level as soon as possible, so she gets the Reflection Shield ability, and I don't have to worry about Eternal Tofus' Thorns ability that's currently in the meta.

Now, it's time to show you a battle where the protagonists of the battle will be, on my side Olivia VS the enemy Quora, both strong epic cards.

I really liked this battle because it's also one of the few battles where I used the new summoner Elias, and it worked. As we can see in the ruleset, only units with magic attack can be used. I initially considered Immortalis, but I tried to do something different, so I chose Olivia mainly for her Mimic ability, and because she only had 1 melee attack, the summoner and her friend Janni Rebel (another rebellion reward), give her a total of +2 melee damage, making her have 3 melee damage. I also gave Olivia the Repair and Cleanse ability, thanks to the summoner's left tactic, so my monsters will never be damaged by Quora's melee attack, since she's the only one on the enemy team who has one.

In the first round, Olivia destroys her first victim, Madcap Magus with her melee attack.

At the start of the second round, Olivia gains one of the most amazing abilities, Bloodlust. And she destroys Spirit Hoarder, giving her +1 to all stats.

In the third round, Olivia gains the ability to fly, and destroys Void Dragon, making her more powerful. And Dax Paragon is destroyed by Quora's Magic Reflect effect.

In the fourth and final round Olivia gains the Heal ability. Quora defeats my healer Meriput and gains more power, but it's too late, Olivia is already too strong and with the help of Janni Rebel destroys Quora.

I love the Mimic ability, and since Olivia is the only one who has it right now, I love to play her when I see that she can perform well like in this battle. She is very strong, but she needs help from her allies, the Inspire ability helps her a lot, and in my opinion Elias will be the summoner that will bring her the most victories.

That's all for now, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link, and I'll give you 400 DEC in return. If you do, let me know in the chat. See you!

Mimic ability is unbelievable discovery in splinterlands. If the monster has an opportunity ability, then it is like a boon for it. Gaining random ability makes it stronger.
It has stolen Heal from Quora that's why it became stronger than Quora. Lol
There are some restrictions for it that it could not get all abilities like Flank, Ambush, Weapons Training Reach Recharge and couple of more . Otherwise it would be destructive monster..
Great battle, friend 🧡
Have a nice Sunday 👍

I totally agree that mimic is one of the best abilities in the game. I was very lucky to gain Bloodlust in the second round.
I love to play Olivia in the Wands Out ruleset, alongside allies that give her extra power. It's only a matter of time before she's used more in magical battles.
Have a nice day too!
