Hi everyone!
I really struggled with this season. I had a lot going on in life this season that stole a lot of time and inclination to play Splinterlands. Priorities shift all the time, and Splinterlands fell by the wayside. I did still play over 300 games, but honestly, they mostly all felt like a chore and I just tried to get them down as quickly as possible.
I mentioned last season that I was studying for an exam. It was, honestly, one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it's all over so I can finally live again (although I did really love how accomplished I now feel).
I hoping this season is a bit more relaxed. I'm super curious (and scared) about the upcoming Survival Mode and I'm not entirely sure I'm going to be playing it.
I've deliberately sold, burned and rented out my duplicate cards to help me level up my current collection to be competitive in Wild and Modern, and while I'm excited to see how this goes, I think it's specifically not for me, which is totally fine.
I love that it's a totally different approach to the game, a season-long macro management game instead of a short strategy game. It's brilliant. I love the idea of cards in timeout not being available for the other game styles, I'm especially curious to how people will manage this around Brawls. Overall it's a great way to inject new interest into the game, even if I'm too scared to play myself.

I got kicked out of Champs III so many times just before the end of the season, it was an absolute scramble to claw my way back in... so I'm really relieved I managed to get there this season.
I definitely feel like it's kind of impossible to take a break from Splinterlands... because you'd just sink really low into the leagues and it's a real struggle to get out again. (Although, I think there was a change that max cards used all their abilities and attributes in Silver.... if that's the case, maybe it'd be easy...?)
I felt like I lost so many games this season because I just wasn't focused... but my win/loss ratio is pretty much the same as normal. It's the battle of the ages... data versus perception!

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.
One thing I can definitely say is that I did not earn as much Glint as I have the previous few seasons... so even though I played slightly few games, I must not have won as many in the higher leagues.... because this season I won 468K Glint from winnings, while last season I won 516K and the season before that was 532K.
537,500 Glint is my goal each season so I can buy full batch 1 of Epics and Legendries... so I'll have to pick up my game this season.
I'm about 100K Glint short of my goal, so I'll need to burn old reward cards to make up the difference:

I've got 27 spare cards to burn for Glint... so at some point I'm going to run out... but today is not that day.

I'm now able to level up my Death Ranger, Syrenth and Chaos Battle Mage cards.. which is very exciting!
The Chaos Battle Mage in particular now getting Divine Shield to go along with Resurrection is so good and could potentially be game winning.

25 Epic Draws for 187,500 Glint with 25 Alchemy potions:
No gold foils in this batch either, but I'm able to upgrade Kha'zi Conjurer, Thanalorian Blade and Arachne Weaver. I've now got all the non-gold-foil cards except for Shock Trooper up to level 4. Making progress!
Super happy with this reward season!

I'm still shocked that the price of Heloise is still so high in the Auction House. I'm super curious to see how it goes over the next 77 auctions, but the price has consistently been around the 1.3M DEC mark (over $1,000 USD worth). It definitely seems like a dominating card that I haven't yet seen in battle, but I'm sure I'll be destroyed by it at some point.
