I really like this version of Captain Katiein the past a lot of artwork of female characters has been super booby, where this art style seems way more realistic and fun. So, ah, it might have been a big season for me...
I might have gotten myself a sneaky lil something...
It's ah, actually surprisingly hard to use correctly, and I've lost so many games trying to figure out what scenarios Heloise does well in.
I've found that she does well in 20-30 mana battles, doesn't poorly in 50 mana battles and struggles where there might be a chance of missing or armor being repaired. The Soul Siphon that reduces the health by her friends by 50% is brutal and can definitely tip the balance against you. It's a really fun card and has caused me to lose so many battles, haha.

You can see the whales aren't going to let the price drop too much...
... I'm honestly a little surprised, but it makes sense. The best way to influence the resale price of anything is with a monopoly, duopoly or oligarchy so if the whales have enough funds to buy the last 20 cards then the resale price will also be decent... especially as anyone who wants one but doesn't have one might start to feel FOMO.
Overall I think this whole Auction thing has been a pretty solid success. The card is powerful and fun, but not an instawin. The rarity has been well received.
I'm a little worried about the demand for the next edition, Conclave Arcana, which should only be a few months away. 81% of Rebellion was burnt so demand wasn't huge... it'll be interesting to see what happens once Chaos Legion rotates out of Modern since those cards were so cheap. I genuinely think that those two big sales they had for Chaos Legion really hurt the game. Before those sales, card prices generally trended upwards after they were no longer available, but not only has CL continued to drop, but trust in cards as an investment died off too.
With not many new players in the space, and people not feeling a lot of trust in cards as an investment, I'm just not sure about the demand for Conclave Arcana... but I guess we'll see.
I'm impressed that Rebellion packs and cards have generally maintained their value pretty well - so there is hope for the future yet... but I don't know if those prices will drop substantially once Conclave Arcana comes out or maintain their value as CL rotates out of Modern. Basically, I can't predict anything.
All the other packs except for CL have done okay price-wise...

I'd say Heloise hindered my performance this season... but that's part of the super fun learning process. If anyone has seen any posts on Heloise strategies, please let me know, I'd love to read it (I imagine it doesn't exist since the audience for that post is both tiny and probably very smart).
I basically only made it into Champs III in the last hour or so, I legit didn't think I was going to be able to make it in.

I got close, I earned 514,936 Glint this season.
It looks like I'm getting about 6% increase in Legendaries each season:
... but obviously I won't be able to hit 100% purely from draws without getting a ton of duplicates. I don't know when the right time to stop and just try and buy the cards I need is though...

Alright! I've now maxed Chaos Battle Mage! Awesome!
I've also got 6 duplicates that I don't need... so I'm going to try and sell them to buy the remaining legendaries that I do need.
It currently costs 10,000 DEC ($6.96) to unlock, so if I can get anything above that I'll be happy. As far as I understand, now is the cheapest time to unlock the cards.
(This reminds me, I've only got 8 days to decide if I want to unlock my gold CL Reward cards or if I'll just burn them for Glint)
All the Rebellion legendary cards on the market have about a $3 profit markup from the unlock cost - you really need to commit to selling them once you unlock them because it's not great to waste the Unlock cost if you just end up burning them for Glint. I guess I could always rent them if they don't sell. Great to have options!
I'm within striking distance of maxing out some Epics which is super exciting...

Nice progress! I'm doing the same tactics, spending all on the first batch and then wait until the next season - slowly, the bonus is wearing off :-D THanks for the mention :-)
Something changed this season at my level. I either got better, or the hand full of extra epics help me break through into gold and lift my win, loss above 1 for the first time in ages. I think it was more like they changed my match up somehow, I seemed to get more surrenders and maybe a few bot walk overs like they only played one card. Either way I am not complaining.
