Conflict is Over!

Well, not in my life! :)

If that is what you are expecting, I am sorry I have to disappoint you. I don't think that will ever happen. What I mean the Rebellion Conflict is over. It was 9 months of excitement.

It all started with Mantaroth and Grimbardun Smith promo cards during the pre-sale. I remember I was number 7 purchaser on the Rebellion pre-sale.

I wasn't going for the summoner design slot, but my 7th place got me Two Max Mantaroth! I was just checking it today and I still have them.

I don't know what I will do with all these cards now. I might sell some at much higher prices if there is future demand, and if not they will just be 'valuable' jpgs :) Regardless that led to the Rebellion Conflict where we staked all these and other Rebellion cards to get airdrop cards. Those are the 9 conflict airdrop cards. You can see my Gold Foil results above. Typically it is the GF drops that matters the most. Typically GF Legendary is about 5X to 10X compared to the regular foil per BCX (as per current market).

Eternal Tofu GF ~ 10X to RF
Nidhoggr GF ~ 5X to RF

But important thing to note that Nidhoggr haven't reach price stability yet, because it is just a few days old. Tofu on the other hand, is widely comsidered the most powerful and highly used Rebellion cards for weeks and probably many more months to come. Overall I wouldn't say that my RB pull went very lucky. Between the 6 summoners, my highest GF pull was Elias Max Pruitt, currently one of the weaker summoners of the RB set. Since I play GF brawl, I had the buy the missing GF cards from the market. Mostly I have been able to do that by selling RF cards that I have received from the airdrop, so there is nothing much to complain.

However, now that it is over, it is time to look forward to the remaining Hall of the Legends cards and then the next set Conclave Arcana that is coming in six months.

Sort:

I'm curious to see if Rebellion card's prices are going to change due to the end of Conflicts: I have some DEC set apart and I'd like to snatch a good deal or two.

I school of thought is that they will drop. However, I have no idea.

tbh I really hope it will happen, as that would my best chance to get more Rebellion cards!

supply and demand my friend! I hope you win.

I just hope not to throw all my DEC into the wrong deals ahahah but thanks for the support :)

I didn't buy nearly as many packs as you did, but I was bullish on buying the Rebellion GF from the market early and often. I got around 36 BCX of airdrops for each legendary from only 25 battle wagons and no extra packs. Luckily I got 2 GFs of some of the more influential GFL like Rage, Venka, Tofu, and Nidhoggr. Of course, I quickly bought the rest of the airdrop GFL from the market to complete my Rebellion GF set. I'm so excited for the next phase of modern and to see what happens once Chaos Legion is sent to Wild forever.

My Tofu and Venka luck wasn't very good! So be it :)

All those cards are beasts in their own right. I fought some of them before and lose more than I win.

Maybe a something positive about Rebellion prices decreasing after Conflicts is that it will be distributed or bought by more players. Now they will be used in game rather than locked in Conflicts.

We will see how it works out, right now it is too early to say. However, the cards are indeed great.

I think many people will be switching to Wild once Chaos is out of Modern, $6,000+ for a set is very expensive compared to $600 Chaos deck. Rebellion card are not likely to drop to Chaos levels unless a lot of players leave.

Well there will be the new set. Modern rewards are higher, and if more people does indeed moves to wild, as you say, then Wild rewards will be even less. So there will be a cost-benefit equilibrium.

Bummer, I didn't win a single card from it.

Sound like you didn't purchase the required number of packs.

Probably not. I also didn't have enough wagons I guess. I thought I was close, but apparently not.

If the price of the cards increases, you will sell them, a good decision
But will the price increase?

The two neutral promos for the presale, Mantaroth and Grim Smith, have both increased in price since their release. That is true for a few of the legendary summoners as well.

And not to forget, you can still use your Rebellion cards in CA conflicts as well, with half the power!
I didn't go heavy on Rebellion because so I got only 1 airdrop, Risquerrel Drath, Rebellion is pretty expensive and CL does the job pretty well too for now, of course this will all change once CA launches, exciting times!
