Region 10: My Land
Okay. Today I will talk about my land. To be specific, I will talk about my Region in Splinterlands. This is Region 10. There are many like it (143 of them so far); but this one is mine. I am not here to win or make money. I am here to have fun, and in the process perhaps do some community service and perhaps make a few people financially free. That can happen if the game as a whole succeed. If that happens, I will get my fair share of dividend and I am happy about that.
Above is the basic view of my Region 10. This reminds me of my first post regarding my region which I wrote in Apr 03, 2023. This is funny how regular blogging works, especially if you use your blog as a journal. You can potentially go back in time and check what you wrote there.
Earlier it was told, all lands will have very similar utility in terms of type. However, after the publication of the Secrets of Pretoria whitepaper that seems not to be the case
I wrote this 2 years back. Now I can safely say, that is indeed the case. Not all regions are created equal and not all land types are created equal. What matters most perhaps that they are managed very differently.
I have 309 active plots out of 1000, that put me about P30 percentile in terms of the region populative and activity. In other words, there are 30 percent regions will less active plots than mine. Do I feel bad about it? Absolutely not :)
Question of the Day!
- Do I turn off my SPS mines? YES
- Done I turn off my Research Plots? YES, in the beginning, BUT....
I think most landowners understand why these questions was raised, it is because to do the SPS and Research activities, you will need the new resources: Wood, Iron and Stone. In the beginning, people had none of that. After about two weeks now, people beginning to have some, but still for most plots mining SPS is not profitable. Meaning you have to spend more money on resources than the value of SPS you get from your mine. So the answer to the first question is obvious. Plus, there are so many better ways to earn SPS, like playing the game in Survival mode for example.
The second question is a bit more complicated. Again Research is attached to Secrets of Preatoria. Trouble is no one knows what that is. We have been blindly collecting those point in some speculation that no one knows when it can or will be delivered. So as of now it doesn't have any tangible value. Now after this new update, a lot of people must put additional money into the ecosystem, or rearrange their plots effectively (very difficult) to collect research. So, a lot of people including myself, turned them off all together and converted them to a natural resource which doesn't require the new resources to harvest.
I did turn of all my SPS and Research Plots first, but now I have slowly began to turn them on. I have turned on 3 so far in Region 10. I don't have the best cards on it so far. However, thanks to Vugtis; I have decided to put 3 Runis there to get some boost, and also save on DEC staking.
Currently, this is about all that I can afford with the production that I have. You might see and question me about my grain deficiency: about 9000/hr, or about 78M/yr :) I have taken care of that!

Nice to see the update. That are some serious amount of land an PP you got going on there.
The staked DEC you saved with the runi is great but also the 100% boost.
Currently the staked DEC is one of the bottlenecks i think, why not more land is online, do also think that or for other reasons?
Only ~32% is active.
I have discussed this with Vugtis, who I think understands the psychology of landowners the best. He thinks and I agree that so far land has limited tangible value. The output you get is almost worthless. Until that changes there will be limited activity
I have only five common plots and they don't look exciting at all. For now I will not invest any more into land will just wait and see...

Yes I went to Las Vegas for splinterfest. That vip ticket alone was $5000
I had to turn off research and I will likely leave it off due to my lands only being able to produce wood and grain. Going through the process of reading for the other materials doesn't seem lucrative right now.
If you have limited plots, you have no choice but to buy resources, or turn research off all together.
I took down my SPS-Mines, too, but am very happy with the outcome. The pools are actually bringing a nice return, 3,5% is what I got since the start of Land 1.75. I guess that's just the beginner-phase, and it will slow down in terms of pool-fees, but I'm very happy anyway :-D
how much land do you have?
I'm just writing a post about last season, which included the Land part - that's why I calculated the fees earned from the pools.

I like the news pools. One can actually see how much was earned in each one, and that seems to be quite a bit for me already, considering. I just added to the pool before taking this screenshot, around 40 DEC to each, so I had around 430 DEC in the non-grain pools - and already made 15 DEC plus the equivalent in ressources, so around 3,5% ROI.
ROI is not important at this time. Now is the time to accumulate.
Probably. And it might bite me later on, but I'm allocating my resources towards Conclave Arcane - I still like the active playing part better than the land part. I might be game for a few more plots though, but I first have to fill up the card slots in my current plots...

It got me the Warden title! :-D And no, not grain plots. 2 grain, 1 wood, 1 stone, 1 iron. All well chosen. Okay, all chosen. Okay, 2 of them were chosen, the rest was buying without having a clue.
Bringing research plots back little by little could make a real difference. Secrets of Pretoria is a risk, but if it clicks, the early adopters might really cash in, big ones.... So much winning haha

oh no, I wrote it myself Mr Azircon, kind studying these stuff hoping to earn enough organically to invest in the games. With some cash I can play and go further faster. Which is also why I don't want to miss any of the game reviews you make too 💪

oh no, never but way too much checking it out and definitely something I want to play, I am thinking between Holozing and Splinterlands but since splinter has been there longer I'll go with that.
Spell book for $10 is very affordable but I've gotten advice from multiple players on the investment required and time required to make the money back. Gotta stabilize on Hive first..
Unless you've got a cool ass strategy for me then I'm starting that shit right away. Would love to combine blogging and gaming that's why I'm too interested haha

would it be possible to play it on mobile, I usually watch some of the game play on mobile . I have keychain app, if I sign in through that🤔 will it work or it has to be strictly PC, there are games that make it strictly PC that is why I ask Mr Azircon
